Will Mel Act

Only way Forest could afford Vydra is if their owner sets up a successful heroin deal.
I don't think he wants to play for a club in a perpetual relegation battle.

Strett, does Ben Osbourn play left back?

Osborn is currently playing left back, yes.
He played there in his academy days apparently.
Any decent winger would have the beating of him, View he’s no left back IMO, but Karanka knows about defence.

We wouldn’t pay that much for him, overpaying for players is a Derby thing.

Has Ben Osborn scored the winning goal straight past that Derby Hero Keogh at the Sheepdip?

The correct answer is yes.

Does G.R wish he had a Benny Osborn in his failing team?

Cheese rhymes with jeeze.

Attendance-lying rhymes with pay-too-much-when buying

That was humiliating

Only a barnstorming performance against Preston is good enough. I don't expect that to happen, and I do expect Mel to react in 'the Derby way' by showing Rowett the door.

Essentially Rowett's reaction in the post-match interview should have been his reaction two months ago instead of banging on about unbeaten runs and bad luck. Too late now Gary. You've established this squad in a no-consequence-for-underperformance comfort zone.

I don't think Rowett's sacking will be a bad thing.

If Mel sticks to his word - that the era of throwing money at the problem is over if we don't go up this time - then we're essentially back to the same situation we were in when Clough came in under GSE. An over-paid under performing squad with few saleable assets and no money.

So the manager is going to need the ability to unearth hidden gems from the lower leagues at bargain prices.

Rowett has demonstrated the opposite talent - the ability to sign expensive has-beens and never will-be players from the top league.

What odds on the second coming of Nigel?

Wideboy knows his onions.

Clough returning would be welcomed, especially by 666.

What are the dogs doing on here? Have they forgotten that they haven't beaten us for over two years? Have they forgotten that they haven't scored against us in the last three games? Have they forgotten that we are near the top of the division and they are near the bottom.

Maybe they are in denial like they are of their owner's criminal activity.

TBH I don't think Clough would come. 'Unfinished business' or not I think he values a stable long term relationship with realistic expectations from the chairman. He gets that at Burton. Until the end he got that from GSE. Can't see MM's track record attracting him back to Derby.

That’s a good point.
We had similar issues with Fawaz, where no one would come.
We are fortunate now to have a respected owner, who can attract the likes of Karanka.
Dougie Freedman would be a good choice, experienced in working for a nutter on a tight budget.
