Wolves. Good club, decent set of fans
Not a great game but a comfortable enough win. Blues were almost as good as Cardiff in terms of their thuggish approach and they succeeded in kicking Neves out of the game. Seemed to be in trouble with his left ankle. Hope he is fit for the remaining games. Don’t expect Cavaleiro will be as he seemed to pull his hamstring. Defensively Wolves played well, Jota very good first half, Bonatini came on and had his best game for some time and Afobe took his goal well. Doherty and Saiss also had good games but I thought Costa was motm

Decent fans Blacky ? The best
Thoroughly enjoyable day. Celebrations before and after the match were tremendous. Football was good but Blues only contribution was to kick Jota, Neves and Costa regularly into the air. Lucky to end the game with 10 men.
Will be there for even more celebrations when the trophy is presented after the Sheffield Wednesday game.

odd day in some ways
the game was a stroll for wolves, with Birmingham only really showing some forward intent after going down to 10 men. neves uncharacteristically wasteful in his passing at times and seemed off the pace...almost like he'd been out celebrating something the night before? and given the previous day's last minute heroics to promote wolves, there wasn't really the sense of anticipation or excitement there might have been if we still needed a result to gain anything.
but massively enjoyable, some fantastic play in particular from costa and Doherty working together down the right, two more very good goals, another clean sheet, two fabulous saves from ruddy, the world's smallest pitch invasion and possibly the funniest moment of the season since the derby player who kicked the ball in his own face...
has anyone got a video clip of jota bouncing the ball off the ref's head moments after he failed to win a free kick from the latest bit of blues thuggery?? ref did a double take as if to say "was that on purpose?"...which i half believe it was!
I think Neves was playing injured from about ten minutes in after a block tackle, and he was hacked down at least 5 times after that
Joint 8th favourites next season with Everton by the way
Very similar game to Derby in the week not only the score. We controlled the game pretty much from start to finish passing our way out of any trouble at the back. Blouse had a good chance early on, good double save from JR. Don't know how many times teams have had players sent off at Molineux this season, must be 5 or 6, an indication that a lot of teams have come without ideas other than to try and stop us by force.
Great to put a bit of glitter on to a deal that was already sealed. So proud of these boys, they've been a pleasure to watch and there's still more to come.
We’re being linked with a few players now promotion is confirmed. One of them being Barca’s Andre Gomes, who Tottenham are also interested in.
I fully expect Perton’s thread to be resurrected within the next few days.
mendes was sat not far from us. looked like he had a big shopping list for jeff
Uncle Jorge has a nice sun tan yes ?
Great result. I did try to find a commentary on the radio driving down from Scotland, but nothing. Had to rely on flashscore.com.
Now ensconced in the Nunotel by the station, having enjoyed a couple of beers in The Lych Gate. (ok)
Lots of wolves shirts abut the town still, and it was good to see a group of fans in the Lych Gate who had come over from Denmark.
Just watched 3 TV football pundits talking about a football manager. I paraphrase:
Yes, he had the money to spend, but even with the money you have to spend it wisely. And it's not just about buying players, you also have to know which players to let go. You also have to work with the players you inherit. He (the manager) bought wisely, and improved the players he had. The team improved throughout the season and rightly won the title.
It was MOTD2, and they were talking about some manager of a team from Manchester - who else could they have been talking about?
Next season, can't wait.
Cant wait for Bolton next Saturday, cant wait for the last home game against Sheff Wed, cant wait to see who we sign in the summer, cant wait for the fixtures to come out, cant wait for next season. Patience is a virtue
I thought the same when I heard it. Lots of clubs have thrown money in an attempt to get promoted
