There is a difference between want and expect. Surely it is NOT necessary to beat the bottom 3 teams home and away in order to finish in the top two, since of those three Wolves only managed it against one, Burton.
3 games at home and one of those in hand, surely it's still in our own hands.
Well I predicted we’d finish 2nd using the predictor.
That’s looking optimistic now. It was all down to our ability to draw games.
Think we will absolutely collapse even more monumentally than we already have. But I’ll still be singing on Sat. I have recently employed the services of a large hipflask full of port to help me get through the games. It’s really good, you should try it.
I’m working in Poole this week. My colleagues still think we will make the playoffs.
Fecking 6 fingered idiots, the lot of em.
It is in our hands Igor. I understand the negativity of course, I feel it too, but all is far from lost and we still have a fighting chance. For most teams, 3 at home would be a definite advantage. We have won ten and lost five at home this season so you would think we are twice as likely to win as to lose. The defeats have been Fulham, Wolves, Ipswich, Reading and Sunderland - 2 good and 3 far from good teams. The wins have similarly been fairly evenly distributed around the better and worse teams of the division.
So there is no reason not to go into the last four games with hope, at least. I do feel, as others do, that our home support is far less helpful than any of the clubs around us. If you talk to any player who has played the game professionally they will tell you that support genuinely DOES make a difference. Of course they are all ridiculously highly paid and of course they shouldn't really need to feel loved to perform at their job, but they are still people and will do better if supported. We have all seen players' confidence dwindle once targeted by fans, and the whole team's confidence can soon evaporate once the groans start. I think overwhelming negativity is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Cheering on the lads isn't going to bring success if they all play crap, but it's got to help a little bit, and after all it is the only thing we can do as fans to influence the outcome in even the smallest way. So let's do it.
The fans have got to man up and get behind the team now for the last few games of the season.
It’s all about strength of character and mental strength and the fans have got to show heaps of it. Stop feeling sorry for ourselves, man up and get on the it
Has anybody seen that disgusting Video of fans abusing Carson and Forsyth?
Derby fans have changed. We used to be great. We are just pathetic now.
Carson and Forsyth should have knocked them out
Horrible viewing Griff. I'm ashamed how our fans have become. They have made Pride Park toxic and now having a go at players out.
I couldn’t believe the abuse Carson got and he’s my player of the year.
Derby have some stupid fans

Superb, Vidal.
Thanks for posting that
There were some intetesting stats on yesterdays moan-in, which put this season in perspective.
We already have 1 more point than last season's final total.
We have the same number of wins as last season with 4 more games to play.
There have been 5 fewer defeats this season.
Derby have won more games by 3 or more goals than any other Champ team.
We have only lost back-to-back league games once this season.
Hardly a disastrous season then and certainly progress on last year.
It's a mental thing, that's the problem and for large parts of the season we thought we had cured that with the experience we'd brought in.
And it's that experience that is costing us because the legs are giving out as the championship longer season is taking its toll.
It has to be freshened up, reading between the lines looks like we may go with a different formation Saturday, personnel still unknown but one thing is for sure is that the fans really need to do their bit.
Some of the tripe I've read on other platforms has made my stomach churn and made me question would I really want to be seated beside some at games.
So stop the whining, do what you are suppose to be there for and save the BS until it's actually void.
I would love all the Derby fans who want Rowett gone to stay away Saturday and show your non support the proper way. Derby County needs supporters Saturday. We have a game to win.
I will be staying away Saturday, not because I want Rowett gone but because I will be in Majorca stomping over mountains. Hope we win but not optimistic if we can lose heavily to the two worst teams in the division. Winning our home games shouldn't be too difficult and that is all we need to do.
I shall be there on Saturday and I will not blindly follow. I won’t be told how to support my football team.

It was a bit obvious though wasn't it.
You're free to do what you want, Rameses, but if you don't support your team you cannot call yourself a supporter, simple as that. You are a casual observer.

Don't we want our team to win?
This isn’t a nativity play we’re watching Vidal. Where we happy clap our infants no matter how crap they were.
These are highly paid footballers who have to earn back some of the faith we have put into them.
It’s up to them to show they’re up for the fight. I won’t boo them, I never do, but since the turn of the year they’ve been steadily getting worse and I think they owe us. Not the other way around.
I guess the win win situation here is for Derby to win the remainder of their games from now until the Champions League final in a couple of years time.
No fans or players getting upset or hurt, glory heals. We're all friends again.
There is good evidence that encouragement increases the chance of winning though, even with seasoned professional sportsmen. A couple of posts above this one I said:
"Of course they are all ridiculously highly paid and of course they shouldn't really need to feel loved to perform at their job"
so I agree with you, but teams whose fans support them are more likely to win than those whose fans fold their arms with pursed lips and need to be cajoled into it. You may wish this wasn't so, but it is. So if you want your team to have its best chance of winning then swallow your pride and cheer the feckers on while they are on the pitch.
Do any players read DCFC JA606. If not, why not? If so we have our part to play
Are you censoring 606 Heb? Are we not to write anything negative in case our pampered pansies get upset in the off chance they read this?
I think you might be on a sticky wicket.
Not at all Rameses, be brutally honest if you will. But carrot and stick eh!
