I have mixed feeling of sadness, relief, and appreciation.
In that it’s fair to say he stayed on too long, and had taken the club as far as he could. But also grateful for the memories.
Some of the football we played in the noughties was the best ever seen by an Arsenal side, and the success he brought to AFC will never be equalled.
Peedy will be bashing one out right now

And a bit of excitement for the summer.
Interesting to see if Wilshere and Ramsey sign new contracts now.
Pardew is short odds to be the next manager

Couple of bad results and it’ll be
“we didn’t know what we had”
“Wenger in”
Arsenal fans will be singing Wengers name all season now the fickle fecks.
Just as well he announced this now in case they get knocked out of Europa. It should lessen the negativity towards him if they do lose to Atletico, knowing he's going anyway.
Probably the reason he did it.
Yeah definite mix of emotions. Sadness, relief and excitement for the future. I’ve wanted Wenger to leave for a while, but I’ve never hated him, and always wanted him to be able to turn things around and finish on a high. I will miss him managing the club, but it had to happen. He just wasn’t good enough anymore. Every great player or manager will always come gona decline at some point
Holy...
Even if it's a few years too late, I'm glad he's stepped down rather than being sacked or being told he's not having his contract renewed. Regardless of how things have been recently, I think he deserved to keep that level of dignity. If we can somehow win the Europa to end things that would be a pretty good way to go out.
Exciting summer indeed.

That isn't being fickle. That is showing appreciation for what he did for the club. What he did before losing his way and dragging it out too long as Arsenal faltered.

Couldn't have been worse timing for them coming to TV. Nobody is going to give a shiiite now.
Don’t know WTF my phone decided to write in my last sentence!
If anyone knows Ty, please check whether he is okay or not ! :P
Reckon you'll get Tuchel now? The only explanation surely?
Is Wenger to retire? Could we hire him for a development role within English football or could he be off to PSG....
If the players use it as an excuse to down tools I will never, ever forgive them.
There is no excuse not to go above and beyond for the remaining games. None whatsoever.
The players should use it as motivation. The crowd will (should) be bouncing and you have a European Cup to win to get CL football.
There will likely be financial implications for them personally if they don't make the CL too.
Can't imagine for a second it would be anything other than a boost for the players, why would they down tools?
Winning the Europa now means playing CL football next year, under a new manager, surely that's an exciting prospect, especially for some that have been around a few years under Wenger.
I think he will still manage for another 3-4 seasons before hanging his boots. PSG would be best destination for him.
Going to miss that long asss coat
Wenger for England now. After England get knocked out in the group stages in Russia this summer, and Southgate is sacked that is.
I know from our end our reaction to this will transform the Emirates. I can't imagine anything other than total support from the fans. If the players don't know we'll let them.
Allegri is a good possibility, unless he prefers to join Chelsea.
