Just realised firecracker was in The Tick. Proper babe.
Latest ep of the boys was decent. Overhyped looking at reviews but decent.
Starlight and Frenchie need to leave the show, two mopey boring facking characters who are constantly whining or crying. Fk off. Also not that I'm a homophobe but his sudden turn of being gay annoyed me a bit. It felt like it was added just to tick a box.

They done it for pride month.

In the last 3 seasons, his arc has been about growing closer to Kimiko and their bond. All signs were pointing to an eventual romance between them but enter season 4 and they've decided to give Frenchie a male love interest. It diminished everything that came before it, in my opinion. I no longer have any interest in Frenchie and Kimiko as an item and I certainly have no interest in Frenchie and his boyfriend.

Peggs performance was brilliant, touching episode. The killer farm yard aspect was peak boys, but they’ve gone so far off campus these days that they have to go to inventive lengths to impress.

I have to say, even as a woke caaant, I just can't stomach that switch. If it didn't involve sexuality, it would be rightly called out as the biggest plot hole on TV, but since it involves sexuality, Hollywood expects you to accept the irrationality of it and if you complain you are bad.

Sometimes these things are done so blatantly and nonsensically that I wonder if they do it intentionally to provoke and peeve off certain people. Surely they knew for sure there'd be controversy and even anger from certain sections of the people about that.

From comic to TV they changed a lot of things from the start. The genders and race of many characters have been changed and this was accepted without a peep because the show is awesome, the comics weren't that well known and people weren't attached to the characters all their lives and didn't grow up wanting to be Victor Neuman, but now, people are attached to the The Boys and you can't just change it.

Having said all that, it's still The Boys, and it can be argued that suddenly turning Frenchie gay is how The Boys mocks Hollywood for doing similar things seemingly without an explanation or plot relevance.

Furiosa - 7/10

Story was thin but the action was a great watch. It doesn't quite match up to Fury road but it's worth a watch.
