Honestly can't remember the whole story but it's something to do with the Phoenix force arriving to claim Hope Summers as their host. Not sure how a movie adaption would go.

With the battering Marvel/Disney have taken over the last few years, I can understand it.
Obvs the Multiverse is still a thing, that gives them the excuse.
RDJ wouldn’t be my choice as Doom, and of course there’s gonna be a ton of de-masking going on.
But it’s not the worst idea, I think they can have a lot of fun with it.

Also, if RDJ is Doom, then who else is getting swapped around..

String, yeah I do get that, I’m just not a fan of the idea. I think having Doom completely disconnected from the main time line would be a better idea.

Will be interesting to see Downey Jr play a baddie, as far as I can recall he's never played one. Shouldn't be a problem for him as he's obviously a great actor.
