Yeah couldn't get into Jessica Jones (no pun intended) after the excellent season 1. Iron Fist is a guilty pleasure for me as well although I recognise it was kinda terrible in parts.

Bernthal is the best example of fan casting actually panning out. The more of him the better and he'll be in the new DD series

I think David Tennant had a big hand in season 1 being so good, although I do like the actress (liked her in BB too).

I actually thought Iron Fist improved as it went on and was cancelled just as it was finding its groove.

Yeah he’s bloody grate. I didn’t know that he was cast due to the fans.

Yeah Tennant was brilliant, one of the best bad guy roles I've ever seen. Shame it was on a TV show that not enough people saw.

That Daredevil universe on Netflix was seriously underrated. I didn't like the Luke Cage TV show much but overall it was really good and don't forget The Defenders team up series as well. There was a lot of good content.

I just hope Disney can do it justice as they attempt to continue it. The jury is very much out though.

I don't think he was to be clear, but I remember seeing a load of people fan casting him in that role beforehand so maybe Marvel saw that.

Perfect casting for me, up there with RDJ as Iron Man.

I suspect that casting agents will always be conscious of fan’s views on casting, pretty sure they do lots of research on it, even if they don’t end up casting the actual fan favourite.
