Gotcha.

I suspect that casting agents will always be conscious of fan’s views on casting, pretty sure they do lots of research on it, even if they don’t end up casting the actual fan favourite.

As far as the streets are concerned, there’s been one cinematic version of DareDevil. It’s Affleck.
A TV show version suddenly doesn’t replace mans…

Most people who saw the Affleck Daredevil movie didn't rate it while most who watched the Charlie Cox Daredevil tv series loved it. Ergo making that the definitive version of the character in live action.

Being the first doesn't mean anything, otherwise we'd all be citing George Reeves as the definitive Superman instead of Christopher Reeve.

This thread is weird, few on here barely even acknowledge Affleck as Batman despite him featuring in more live action movies as Batman than any other actor and yet Affleck does one crap Daredevil movie and he's the definitive Daredevil for life

Affleck was a good batman as well. Despite the internet having a meltdown when he was cast.

Yeah I think every actor that has played Batman in live action (seven so far) has done a good job with the material they were given. Even Adam West did a good job for what was asked of him which was a camp, comedic Batman.
