This comment reminds me of times in Spain when a Brit is talking to a Spaniard who doesn't understand the English being spoken to him. So the Brit's response is to just say exactly the same thing again but louder ! Coz you know it was just a volume issue first time round and that's all the Spaniard needed to help him understand English. Even though he doesn't speak or understand a fookin word of it.
