they made a profit and thats all that matters, i think even the first sequel rey movie will
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The Disney sequel trilogy made profit but only because it was riding the goodwill of real Star Wars.
And while technically speaking the Disney sequels made profit they didn't make anywhere near as much as they should. Each movie should have made closer to 2 billion which even Avatar 2 made.
The only one that made that was Force Awakens. The third one made a billion so you can look at that as a potential 1 billion loss on what it should have made.
And customer faith in Disney Star Wars is now lower than ever so some more bad movies with Rey are going to fail at the box office. The market that Kennedy and Disney think exists for that simply doesn't now.

It'll be like The Suicide Squad was to the original.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As far as I could tell TSS was a direct sequel to SS as there wasn't anything that contravened what happened in the first movie. I know they labelled it a reboot but I couldn't tell that anything was retconned as such.
Maybe more will be revealed when the Ayer Cut is released though.

Brilliant show. Expected it to be garbage as his character in suicide squad was a joke.
I also love that the show wasn't afraid to be offensive. There's a bit of casual racism from the T1000 among other things.

Unbelievable… I realised when talking to my mates I hadn’t seen the Donner cut of Superman 1 & 2.
And my mates got the Blue-ray versions and he lent me it.
It’s facking horrible what I’ve seen so far.. what the hell was Donner thinking!?
The dialog changes, the effects… how the hell I miss this mess.
Anybody else seen the Donner Cut of Superman 1&2

You never heard of the Donner cut of Superman 2?
Donner makes Superman 1 and 2..
midway through 2 he clashed with the producers, who fired him. They hired Richard Lester to finish superman 2, but to qualify for a credit he reshot some of Donners scenes.
Then years later Donner was given the chance to restore his vision, and with the latest CGI effects, so he went postal with it, the finished article is jarring.
I can’t even sit through it… it’s bloody terrible.

Lamb kebab preparer by day saves the world in what little time he has left in a week.
Think Superman being in full time employment is kinda ridiculous anyway. Should be oot saving the world during the day.

It's a real shame that Donner was fired though as I think we might have got a really good Superman 3 with him on board. Think there were plans for Brainiac originally. But that eventually evolved into being that silly super computer thing we ended up with in the third movie instead.
