I don't think anyone really gives a fook aboot her gender although that excuse gets trotted out a lot in her defence. I think people care about her not being remotely good at her job and taking what was arguably the most beloved and iconic franchise in pop culture and driving it into the ground. Making it a virtual laughing stock and meme these days.

Punters aren't spending big money on Star Wars anymore, either on the TV productions or merchandise, that's why they're afraid to make any movies as they know they'll tank. At least on Disney Plus you can hide failure better lol.
