I didnt see a great need to separate DC and Marvel into two threads. However the anime/manga chat is a bit left field for some who are just Marvel movie fans

One of the laziest, most ridiculous moments in cinematic history

Shang Chi was terrific.

The cast were perfect, the incorporation of the asian culture and the call backs to movies like crouching tiger and enter the dragon worked so well and cinematically, it's one of the best MCU movies out there. The story wasn't mindblowing but this is the mcu and I don't expect complex plot building. Oh and the hand to hand action sequences in this movie are the best thus far in the MCU. Civil War doesn't even come close.

I loved Shang Chi.

Disappointing What if episode. Probably the weakest. I just have little interest in Thor and Captain Marvel at this stage.

Agree it wasn't the best episode. I don't think it was a good use of a 'what if?'. Though I did enjoy that Captain Marvel way more than the movie version. If that ending gets explored I'll be more interested in it.

How many episodes of What If are there? I thought the 6th episode was the final one

There will be 9 total. This week's was number 7

Shang Chi was good, probably an 8 from me.

Gave it a 10 in the ratings thread just to wind Baz up

I think an 8 or 8.5 are worthy for me. It was a marvel movie but strangely never felt like a marvel movie, which I loved. Disappointed that the Mandarin dies but I think it's because the legendary Tony Leung probably didn't want to become a mainstay in the MCU.

Shang Chi 10/10 from me

Yeah I was thinking throughout that it didn't feel like a Marvel movie, which was refreshing. Nice to have a good villain as well, I think Marvel can be a bit hit and miss at times. Very solid film overall.
