Post thor 4, i worry for the MCU. Im fairly intrigued by antman 3 and guardians 3. But not much apart from that.

They need to pencil a fantastic four film. Never been a huge fan of that team but its probably because all of their films have been awful. Im sure marvel can get something out of them.

I do rate comic book films in a sort of bubble of their own.

I cant in good faith say that winter solider is just a point below the godfather as an overall film.

But in terms of Mcu films

9s are winter soldier, civil war, iron man, first avengers, infinity war.

Oh yeh, you have to view them differently, I mean a main issue for me is the stakes. When the crowd are crying about deaths, I’m the cynical one sitting back saying ‘it’s a comic book movie, no-one really dies’..
but I don’t score it down for that.

Then a film like Logan comes out and flips the script.

I can't believe Stringer just spoiled that somebody dies in Logan. Who do you think you are spoiling a five year old movie ffs

Conversely, phase 4 is the least exciting phase for me. Thor 4,Antman 3 and Guardians 3 are films I have little interest in and will certainly not be watching in the cinema. I'm still ambivalent about Black Panther 2 and the remaing movie is F4, which will close out the phase.

Phase 5 is where the fun begins, in my opinion. New avengers, Blade and the big fish, X men.

I agree with the 7/10 rating too. Which isn’t bad. I was just anticipating a 9 or 10

So Guv, what you saying is Phase 4, is just one big Filler?

I am looking forward to Thor 4 and Antman 3, the latter more for Kang because he is seemingly being built up as the next MCU big bad. GOTG3 I am meh about right now mostly because I can’t see what else can be done with them. I did really like volume 1 and 2 though so more than likely gonna end up watching it in cinema.

Everyone seems to be looking forward to F4 the most which I really couldn’t care less about tbh

doesnt have a date of release or a director. although i suspect the latter is pretty obvious.

Phase 4 has been by far the weakest.

No interest in BP2 Tbh. the first was average and really rode on chadwicks performance. I have no interest in seeing shuri take the mantel. she may well be the most annoying character in the entire franchise.

Aye don’t care about BP2 either.

thor 4 looks good, not really delighted with them giving natalie portman the hammer tbh, lets face it in the first 2 she was the weakest aspect and her performance ranged from bored to dreadful.

But taika watiti has gained some good grace after ragnorak. and the trailer looks good.

Antman 3 beceause anatman was great. 2 was sub par, it felt like it was all about setting up the quantum realm for endgame.

Looking forward to Blade too but Xmen & F4 are the main events

They better be in seperate universes...

Blade doesnt need to be separate in terms of universe but the style and tone of the film does need to be a world apart

The idea of them MCU-ing Blade makes me nervous

Raimi could do something really good with blade i reckon.
