The final scene ending on a cliffhanger with Strange getting the 3rd eye
—
Well that’s a new direction for marvel, gay pooorn!
What’s the deal with the Music fight? Why?
Visually looked cool, but didn’t make a lick of sense.
The introduction of Mount Wundagore was interesting. It gives more weight to the theory that the High Evolutionary will show up soon, possibly in GotG 3.
And who is Theron? What’s happening there, does Strange know her?

She's Clea. Look her up, her presence has some interesting implications for Strange's future.

The one thing that really annoyed me was how easily Wanda killed Reed & Black Bolt, but struggled more against Captain Carter?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This was my issue with the whole Illimunati. Captain Carter gave Wanda a better fight than Xavier. Also note, Xavier is powerful enough to contain Scarlett Witch.

Things I liked with Dr Strange 2
The opening scene with defender Strange trying to kill America Chavez to take her powers was great.
The exchange between Strange and that doctor he worked with who complained about how he lost 2 cats during the blip, and his brother
MCU’s idea of dreams being a reality in another universe.
Wanda was facking bad ass. Used all her tricks from mind control to imploding Black Bolts head
Strange was not a complete idiot and came out of the movie looking much better than he did in NWH.
Thought the story of Supreme Strange’s dark hold corruption was really interesting and hope What If do an episode on it in the future.
Strange and variant Christine Palmer’s love story that couldn’t be. Felt genuinely bad for Strange here.
The musical note battle with Sinister Strange ending with him getting impaled.
I’ve noticed a lot of people thought Strange reanimating Defender Strange’s body and using the demons was ridiculous but I really liked it.
There was real continuity from Infinity Wars, WV and What If.
Things I didn’t like:
The fight between the one eyed octopus went on FOREVERRRRR. Why did it take so long to kill it?
America Chavez character wasn’t particularly annoying but I just never cared for her. At the end when Wong told Strange to take her powers, I wanted him to do it.
The movies is called Multiverse of Madness but there was no real multiversal madness. There were 3 universes in total throughout the whole movie and the only madness was being caused by Wanda’s dream walking.
Why the fack did Wong bring Wanda to Mount Wundagore? Surely the fate of the multiverse is more important than the lives of a few of his buddies. As Strange says "in the grand calculus of the multiverse, their sacrifice is worth more than their lives”.
The Illuminati were complete bums. Reeve Richards, the smartest man in the world, just saw Black Bolt’s head cave in and thought it would be a good idea to attack WandaAlso WTF, why was nobody horrified when that happened? And Captain Carter even dropped the “I can do this all day” line when here life was in massive jeopardy. Also dropping a statue on variant Captain Marvel with a statue was enough to kill her? Seriously? But the biggest bum of all was Supreme Mordo who lost a fight to Strange who was in anti magic handcuffs and was stupid enough to pick a fight with him in the first place when his buddies were getting slaughtered. Where was the logic in all this?
The pacing was all over the place. Supposedly 40 minutes of filming was removed from the final cut? You could definitely see that here.
Wanda was great but man she did not deserve the chance to right her wrongs. She slaughtered dozens of innocent people and all it took in the end to stop her was seeing her kids freaked out. Why not just keep going to other universes until she finds versions of her kids that would accept her?
Where the hell was Vision?!?!?! Surely he is still alive in other universes? Thanos did not have the mind stone in his gauntlet in universe 818 so where was Vision when all this was happening?
The Sam Raimi horror stuff just felt a bit forced a lot of the time and out of place with the tone of the movie.
Wanda’s character arc from WV was completely ruined. At the end of WV she comes to terms with her grief and releases everyone from her hex, realising what she was doing was wrong and not the right way to cope. I know she was corrupted by the Dark Hold but we never saw how or why. And at the end she was still able to realise her wrongdoings despite being corrupted. Just seemed extremely basic to me.
The final scene ending on a cliffhanger with Strange getting the 3rd eye and then 5 minutes later he is walking around happy out and embracing the 3rd eye. WTFnot to mention the CGI for that eye was painfully bad.
There’s probably other stuff I’ll think of but that’s all I’ve got so far off the top of my head.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with most of the the above.
Favourite scene was the Wanda chasing them through the tunnel and the first scene where Scarlett Witch reveals herself to Strange

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Forgot about that tunnel scene, that was good
The cameos:
Mr Fantastic-Great seeing him but the smartest man alive can't figure out what is going on with Strange and then tries to take Scarlett Witch, head on.
BlackBolt-0 reaction to his entrance although his death was cleverly done.
Captain Marvel-0 reaction to her entrance but she gave Scarlett Witch a good fight.
Captain Carter-Best entrance, as I enjoyed What if.
Charles Xavier-They revealed his voice in the movie whicj made his entrance feel empty but the original X men theme playing did give me goosebumps.
Overall, the illimanati were a bunch of arrogant and unintelligent characters who just happened to be powerful
The fight with the one eyed monster not only went on for too long but it took Dr Strange and Wong a lot of effort to take it down. Another power scaling issue.
Wandas power scaling was horrendous. At certain points she was almost unbeatable but then she's limping around and trying to capture America Chavez.
The tunnel scene when Wanda was chasing them? That was good until they closed the door and waited for her to break through it, knowing that she could. I was watching thinking wtf are you waiting for, RUN!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought the way in which the Scarlett Witch was defeated was too convenient. Oh you saw that your kids are scared of you and now you've seen the light? I thought she was possessed by the darkhold? Surely it takes more to break her free?
I didn't mind America Chavez, didn't find her compelling but didn't mind her like some others have. But her learning how to use her powers after a pep talk was pretty laughable.
It was like the Flash TV 'Run Barry, Run', but the MCU is supposed to be much much better than that.
Yea exactly. Just such a basic way to end it. Also I don’t buy the excuse of the dark hold corrupting her as a justification to drive her basically insane. Agatha Harkness had it for centuries and was way more level headed.

My issue with her was that we never really got any backstory and she felt like a plot device. The power to travel multiverses could have been given to anyone and it would have been the same thing. Her power set seems too powerful for me. If she can travel multiverses, she could find cures and new technology for the current tineline?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not to mention, we saw when Xavier infiltrated her mind she had Wanda trapped and unable to escape and Xavier was not capable of doing so. Are we assuming Wanda escaped of Scarlett Witch changed her mind about the kids? These are kids she has been venting over for a long time too.
I think a better twist would have been to have Scarlett witch try to kill Wanda from another universe and steal her kids. But then Wanda has to defend her universes kids against Scarlett Witch.
Hmm.. so because there was a lot thrown at us, was it a case of misdirection, to cover some flaws.
Cos, as I’ve read, I didn’t put 2 and 2 together and think about power scaling. Movies do trick you, and then you revisit and suddenly you see things and go, ‘hey hold up’
The whole Evil strange sequence and build towards to end was good, I liked it, again, the music fight was different. Actually liked the dead Strange revival, but yeh, it felt a cop out, with Chavez just saying ‘ok then, you win, let’s go to see your kids’
How come she knew exactly which kids in the multiverse to go to, or was that established?
Hmm, think I’m starting to waiver on the rating now.
But there was a lot to like in this film.

Don’t want to constantly pick holes but even 818 Wanda being all like “yea it’s cool that you used me to murder innocent people, I get it, they are great kids”. It was all just wrapped up in a nice little package too easily.
Scarlett Witch/Wanda stole the show for me. It was her movie and I certainly don't think she's dead. However, I don't expect to see her for a while.
I never really like Vision’s character but there was still great chemistry between him and Wanda and if anybody was gonna talk her down off the ledge it would have been him. Whether it have been White Vision or 818 Vision or idk, a dream walking Vision who was corrupted by the dark hold in another universe. Don’t really care. Not just “oh look my kids are upset, I better stop now, bye”
I didn’t have a problem with Wanda becoming evil, cos the end of WandaVision, kinda hinted this was a possibility right?
Or was it too much of a jump for some?
