You're right Gem in the fact that the window closes 2 days before the start of the season. I think it's going to be a scramble to buy players, due to the fact that the WC finishes in the middle of July. I think the bigger decision the club has to make is, who of the loan signings we make permanent. Jota is the only one who is a definite at this point.

Couldn't agree more

I said some time ago that I was worried that Boly wouldn't sign a permanent deal and I still think of all the loan players he is the only one who would turn down a contract. I really hope that I'm wrong because he is a class act and would be difficult to replace like for like.

Chill, it's his loss if he goes. There's better, and we have nuno, Jorge and Fosuns cheque book to get him.

Just looking at the England World Cup squad and I have to say I am totally underwhelmed.
None of the central defenders selected regularly plays in a back three at their club. That being Gareth Southgate's preferred system perhaps the best Centre Back in the Championship who has played this system all season, captained the team which won the title and is English, should have been picked?

Turned on 5 Live yesterday morning to hear Coady being discussed as a potential WC call up, then realised sometime later that there was a Wolves fan in the discussion. He was described by one of the pundits as the best English defender in Championship though, which is an incredible turnaround in his fortunes in just a year.

We don't actually play Feyenord, Wolfgang and the two Swiss teams don't play each other. The format will be:-

10th July Basel v team 2
11th July Young Boys v team 1
13th July Basel v team 1
14th July Young Boys v team 2

Not sure if we're team 1 or 2 yet.
