This is bizarre, truly bizarre

Not really mate. You being so adamant is really bizarre considering I have not seen one single person say it was definite, either during the match, after the match or on any discussions/post match highlights programmes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
because chelsea won. Would be like me saying I have not seen a single person who has not said it wasn't a pen.

Ah, case closed, just realised he did not actually use VAR(from several articles on google). That would explain the poor decision. Strange.

Was a definite pen for me. Was close to him but he moved his hand to the ball. Instinctively but he got lucky and I'm certain he knew it too.

It doesn't matter what I say does it, cos ultimately, I could be lying, as could you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True. But it was your method of debate nonetheless.

No it wasn't. I'm not claiming that I know more because I have played for x,y and z at whatever level

To be honest, you are.
Lol remember they said we’d have nothing to talk about if there was VAR in football and during that game the only talking point was VAR not being used so if there had been no VAR then there would have been nothing to talk about haha lol
Of course Young KNEW Moses was going to cross. What else could he do from the position he was in other than cross the ball.

What other options did he have? He couldn't shoot, not from his angle.
There is no way it was deliberate, that isn't even a question cos why would Young deliberately handle the ball and give a penalty away?
He didn't, he done it because he thought he'd get away with it, and did. like when he has dived in the past, thought he would get away with it, sometimes he has, sometimes he has not.
Greatteams you mentioned people having played footy so you brought it up, I would challenge that back and say have you ever played? I've played with some wily, cheeky players who would do anything to get an edge, I don't think it would be outlandish to say Young is one of those players.
Young knew he was in an awkward position and had to stop the cross. So he made his body big. Although that doesn't constitute as a deliberate handball, he knew what he was doing and took the chance that IF it hit his hands, he'll plead innocent because it was 3-4 yards away.
Very very clever.
I thought pen at the time and still think it.
Young’s reaction says it all for me, he couldn’t possibly have looked more guilty and was fully anticipating the ref giving it as he had a good view too.
I can see why the VAR didn’t give it because he’s probably thought ‘well Michael didn’t give it with a great view so I will err on side of caution’.
IMO though the whole handball law needs looking at because it’s too subjective.
It's the jerk of movement, very slight though, that he does, to make sure he cuts out the cross. Very clever, got away with it
