Both of those clubs also making decidedly more money than Everton each and every season.

Shame that liverpool owe some money for the lovely new increased capacity main stand whereas good old Everton are debt free and playing in their shed.
Like the OP says. Its nice to see.
Anything to make Everton relatable. Come back when you’ve actually achieved something.
That stupid and useless School of Science.

Debt is no problem if you can repay it, and the terms are favourable. Debt from big teams building stadiums is fine as you have a fixed asset at the end of it. The problem debt in football is wages.
If I lived in a decrepit wooden and steel shed, Id have no debt either.

A lot of good comments but this was my favourite.
Everton are indeed minted though so I wonder who they'll spend £150m on this season. Maybe some more number 10's, I don't know.
So long look at it, Everton have no reported debt. Even after splashing stupid money on bad players.
Securing the lease for BMD.
Paying off Martinez.
So it looks good for the club borrowing via LCC for the stadium for better rates. Then getting good rates for additional borrowing as they are low risk.
But I’m no financial wiz like the RS boys, or a medical expert or even law expert.
But I do know Horrenderson is garbage.

And when you've borrowed for the stadium you'll have about the same level of debt as everyone else.
Basically Everton are lagging behind while everyone else is past this stage and improved their ground.
As Great said, debt can be a good indicator and this is a case in point. Not having any debt, when some debt could have helped you is nothing to be proud of.

It's weird because he's a starter for one of the best teams in the world.
arouna would jump at the chance to sign henderson just like i would at leeds and we're about the same level.
Unsure how debt can help.
