A world class striker would of buried both attempts

He is a world class striker but even world class strikers miss good chances. Nobody is perfect.

I'd rather know why he was falling so deep all the time and why fack all was being done about it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because we had nobody in midfield to start the attacks, someone has to do it.

This is always the case when you get far in major tournaments. Yes, it happens and every striker misses but that's the difference between winning and losing in those stages.

Fine margins which we saw with Spurs against Juventus no less. Harry should have buried that in and by his standards it's a terrible miss. That goes in and I too think England go on to the final.

England as a team however didn't create/ score enough from open play. The route to the final is probably the easiest they'll get in a very long while.

Panama, Tunisia, Sweden, Colombia (without Rodriguez) are no heavy weights. When it came to higher quality in Belgium and Croatia we didn't have enough.

The ball kept going over Lingard and Alli’s heads, in fairness. Hard to create when the ball is in the air all the time.

Isn't that would alli and lingard was there for don't recall him starting any attacks only stopping then with below par positioning and giving the ball away. I'm sure he turn up with a few goals today though which is good

They should have been but despite not playing very well, they're not really those kinds of players. They would rather get on the end of things that initiate attacks. Blame as well has to go on Southgate for not adapting to it.

Those I have deleted are in the "stupid" category!!

People can suggest Allardyce was right, but without it being obviously an anti Kane/Spurs post!

What reason would Allardyce have to be anti-Kane/Spurs anyway?

posted on 14/7/18

Why is it anti-Kane/Spurs?

posted on 14/7/18

Most of the "stupid" posts have come from Liverpool and Arsenal fans, so no surprise there!

He’s right. Why get upset?

I have not suggested anywhere that Allardyce is anti-Kane have I?

The anti Kane/Spurs comments are as mentioned above!

So why bother commenting on here then?

I too have got over England going out, it would be dead easy for me to suggest certain players cost us, however I refuse to do so as I believe it is a collective responsibility.

The simple truth is that we failed to create enough from the middle of the park, but no one individual is to blame. We just lack a Modric type player.

Ok, I must have misunderstood you then.

I still don't get what's wrong in what he said though.

Most of the comments that have been deleted were saying “Allardyce is right, Kane should have buried it”

I wouldn’t say they are stupid, just the hard cold truth.

Taken out by the big guns Belgium and Croatia, how far have England fallen as a team?

At this level games are won in midfield, they had Modric,Rakatic and Perisic while we had Jordan Henderson!

If your just going to delete comments because you can't counter or admit you're wrong it really is pointless posting an article in the first place. I'll leave you to your so called sensible only but really agreeable only thread.

Don’t see anything wrong with what Fat Sam has said tbh.

On a positive note let’s hope Kane bags a few goals today and secures the golden boot
