perfect... even better !!! sissoko's no loss anyway, let's hope its nothing minor, can't sell him, doesn't do anything. totally pointless footballer

watch spurs sign someone in the last 5 minutes of the window... make zero impression for the first half the season and then hear all the levy supporters say how he'll be like a new signing the following s season after a full pre season with poch.... such a shambles

Well you can’t plan for a reoccurrence of an injury if that’s what it is.

agreed but you can plan for squad depth and quality... our biggest problem for the 4 years. i think it's a very risky game to be pinning our hopes on the likes of Victor, rose, lamela and winks who are all returning from long term injuries. Add that to the fact Dembele himself questions whether he's physically up to pre league football. if we can't afford to improve the squad because of the stadium and will have to make do with what we've got... i wish levy would just come out and say so... but instead he and levy just talk in riddles while paying themselves a fortune and leaving us a couple of quality players short of taking the next step

Think poch trusts we hve talented youngsters in central midfield and he sees it where we don't need to add any more numbers there.

This. Is a complete and utter shambles this window, but it is most windows with Levy. He plays dice with the squad and we end up starting slow, which in turn usually costs us any realistic title challenge.

We’ve got the numbers but not the quality unfortunately. I’m just fed up with all these Poch sound bites such as ‘yes we are working hard to find players....’ because it doesn’t appear that way. Unless of course most other clubs work harder than us as they seem to get deals done earlier...

Not my thinking just what I think poch is thinking we know he will give the youth a go. Amos, Oakley Booth, Oliver skipp..all central midfielders. Then we have injury prone winks and Wanyama. Inconsistent shall he stay or go dembele. Why tf is Sissoko still in poch plans and seems to be a central midfield option for us in his eyes. That's a lot of numbers and we should have been cleaning up this area of the squad as priority and planned it out straight after last season.

i can see a couple of new contracts being sorted but zero signings this summer.... i think squad depth will cost us the top 4 and can see us finishing 5th or 6th. i might not be happy about it but would be far more willing to understand if the club properly explained how the stadium was effecting our ability to improve the squad. short term pain for long term gain then fair enough !!!! but instead we have pooch talking about being brave and pushing on while taking care of his own bank balance... i think we are being taken for mugs by both pooch and levy !!!

He said earlier that straight after last season it was the target to go for quality players to add to the squad and didn't take action straight away...okay it isn't straight forward finding the players or affording the demands but nothing has suggested they'd as good as tried and a scouted some names

Gets on my nerves to. Just don't get this obsession our chairman has scrambling around the last week of the window desperately trying to sign players. Every one of our rivals have improved. We have done nothing all summer.

To have been so close a few seasons ago and now seeing other teams showing alot more ambition with their squad is what annoys me. The players getting new contracts is all well and good but it has been proven that that are my good enough to win a trophy without quality being added. We haven't added quality, or not the level needed. Nearly men, ones who will do ok but when a game really matters we will always fall short.

This whole new contract thing is the club deliberately trying to placate the fans and deflect the attention away from once again failing to act swiftly and decisively on the transfer front. Wouldn’t surprise me if these deals were agreed before the end of the season and they chose to announce them now.

Eriken doesnt have a contract yet, would b a small consolation to us having a bad window if he signs one soon

I wish there was more communication between the club and fans as to why leaving things late is such a theme with Spurs. I mean we're all aware this is how Levy operates and we're used to it but why must he operate in this way? What possible benefit does it serve to the manager or the club? We might get another VDV type bargain on the last day, is that it? Yeah one of those in the space of 10 years really justifies it!!

Bake em, this is it mate. Certain Spurs fans will argue And say who do we sign that makes our 1st 11, but seem to forget this Spurs side as talented as they are, don't actually win anything. This side needs improvement and needs extra quality so we can finally add some trophies to the cabinet.

i bet lane is thrilled about the fact he just signed for 100K a week less that he would have got at madrid while in his words "moving forward" with the signings of nobody. i'm sure he's overwhelmed with our ability to be brave ! i get he can't wait for another season of watching sissoko charge down blind ally's and then ltripping over the ball

Would anyone be surprised if Rose piped up again talking about our lack of ambition?
