I have a good feeling about tomorrow, the energy in the team is excellent, replacements are like for like so that energy willl last 90mins. Best of all is the talent can control the ball at speed so a high tempo game will continue right up to and into the opposition box. We could be a goal machine this year.

PS. It's too early for football. I took an early holiday t avoid the kds hols, I've been back a week and it's starting. Too many prople will miss 2 weeks of the season.

Bonkers that I think we will be a goal machine without the leagues leading scorer in the squad.

This Vydra situation has the potential to throw a spanner in the works.
With no one interested in him and he being given a squad number and rejoining the first team squad this will probably be Lampard's first man management headache.
He's fit, he's the golden boot but he's unlikely to feature as he just doesn't fit into a 433. We know that because he couldn't hold down a place in that set up when we played it prior to Rowett.

He is a very expensive plan B option and it would be great to have him in reserve to put on if plan A isn't working but we all know that if we keep him we are boIlocksed on FFP.


To have him knocking about the first team squad could be bad for moral if he isn't playing.
We all thought he'd be snapped up. The fee is reasonable but it's Vydra's terms that are the sticking point.

We are yet again hamstrung by the ridiculous contracts that these players are on. You can guarantee that all our baggage have been offered football elsewhere but not on the money they are on here.

Vydra seems to be the latest in a long line who prize money over career.

Couldn't he (Vydra) go out on loan with a view to a move? Taste and see before buying?

And why the hell are Leeds one of the favourites for play-offs?
