I think Chelsea will do much better than what people think. Jorginho is some player and if they get Kovacic, they could have one of the best midfield in the league.

My predo:
1.City
2.Liverpool
3.Chelsea
4.Arsenal
5. Spurs
6. United

As bad as things at united appear to be it's not that bad to finish behind Arsenal. You'll be scrapping for 6th with Everton I reckon. In fact you'll be closer to relegation than you will to 1st

Every year pundits pick essentially the same order as last year and it never works like that.

I think all 6 teams will be close this year. I don't expect more than 15 points between the lot, unless City are as relentless as last year.

4.Chelsea / Arsenal
5.Arsenal / Chelsea
6. Spurs

I only have United 3rd because Mou will play with 7 defenders and grind out 1-0 victories

Spurs won't pull off another top 4 finish without a single improvement to the squad.

Chelsea and Arsenal both have new managers that will get the best out of their players.

City have Pep

Liverpool have improved on an already good team last season.

There was no need for the "in fact". They finished 6th last season and were closer to relegation than the top.

You asked for a prediction, you got one. What`s the problem? The BBC pundits are always wrong about Spurs and Liverpool so what`s new. Spurs definitely above Liverpool AGAIN, and as most of the BBC boys have Liverpool second, that can only mean Spurs win the title.

The been got it spot on for me. City won it already for me listening to Pep. He says they are more determined than last year. Ominous for the rest.

Liverpool should be second but who knows what the transfer window will bring for United, Chelsea n Spurs.

Arsenal have bought a 34 yr old fullback, an average Greek CB, a decent not world class keeper and taken a punt on Torreria who looks good tbf but this is a new culture for him.

City 1st n Arsenal 6th are my only certainties. 2-5th is up for grabs.

Leicester had Schlupp at full back when they won the title. We are brainwashed and have forgotten how football actually works.

It`s a bit sad really when a 19 team league, really only has six teams in it, and they finish top six every season.

posted on 8/8/18

Man City are obvious favourites and rightly so. The football is just too good.

I keep reminding myself to play down the expectations with us. I'm expecting 3rd and for us to nail down 2nd, we'll need a lot going our way during the course of the season. On paper we've probably been the only team that looks like we want to challenge City but there's still time left in the window for the other teams to put something together.

Chelsea will have their mandatory new manager spring in their step season. Potentially they can steamroll the league with players like Kante, Azpi & Hazard. Luiz could come back from the dead to have an amazing season as well and Christensen has a lot of potential. There's still a title winning team in there imo. I think the only thing that can really derail everything is Morata.

Utd are Utd and Mourinho is Mourinho. They will be awful and good but the most facking irritating thing about them is that they'll get the points. Only God knows how the fack they do it.

This is what Poch's 4th/5th season with this Spurs team? The core of the team is still there for them to make top 4. Although they have to agree that with each passing season that they have not been 'evolving' this side they have slowly been drifting away from the direction they thought they were going when they almost challenged Leicester. This might not be the season they drop out of the top 4 but it's slowly creeping up on them. But to end on a positive note, Kane score goals. Loads of them. Never underestimate how much of a difference a world class goalscorer can have on where you finish in this league. I think the talent difference in the striker department is what will probably determine where Chelsea & Spurs finish in the table.

Then Arsenal on paper look the weakest out of the top 6. Unbalanced team. New manager. Just got out of a long term relationship with the most successful manager in their history. Everything about that suggest that they'll go through a transitional period. The attack is one of the best but how the manager gets them playing together will be key. Torreira is a great buy though but that defence

Really difficult to call Chelsea for me, Sarri could have them playing well in a couple of weeks but they looked hopeless on Sunday and Jorginho isn't enough.

It’s gonna be hilarious if Liverpool get nowhere near it with all these pundits going nuts for them as usual

The best thing for the league would be Arsenal beating City on Sunday because it would give the rest belief again. However I think City will go there and win at a canter.

Tougher to call than ever, lots of factors to consider. City should still be winning the league though
