Give him a chance hes barely played

As I wrote on the match day thread:

"Agreed, needs to get confidence back, it appears.

Look at that last through ball to him, he runs onto it around top of penalty area, should have hit it first time, instead took a touch to control. Confident striker shoots first time and likely scores!

Never mind, I think he will come good with adjustment to this division and some playing time.

Good perm signing at end of season?"

Yeah I realise this seems a little harsh.
I want him to do well and Bielsa has obviously seen something too so I will give him more time 👌

Needs game time. Had a chance with his right peg and should have just swung at it.

I like him but he needs to be more assertive.

He needs game time, but at moment I don’t see him fitting in so well, however still had more of an impact than Alioski.

Thought he looked decent at times, but struggled to impact the game. Only his second time in the shirt so no judgements just yet.

Thought the other subs worked well.

He is young & it is a massive step up for him, Give him time.

Reminds me of a quicker Snodders

He was outstanding in the States.

Wakey points out that he didn't feature much for 'Boro but Baker didn't set the world alight there either yet I suspect he'll do well here at Leeds.

There is a touch of the Snodders about him, confident he'll have a good season here.

This is the problem with these types of signings.

Has masses to learn, by time that happens he’s be back at Man City.

That’s why I don’t like these loans.

We’re developing someone else player and unless they hit the ground running, Someone else gets the benefit.

Lacks pace for me

Disagree. I think he has enough about him to make an impact sooner.

Let's wait and see.

That was my point in other thread LIW, we rely too much on these loans and hope they work rather than someone a bit more proven st this level.

Chicken and egg situation for him right now, but wonder if he might start ahead of Alioski next match.

Some parts of his game are great. Close control, first touch, agile are strong. But he lacks a bit of pace, and his end product today and against Bolton were poor.

How much has he played so far?

How many games left?

Its not exactly a short term loan with not much left, is it?

Alioski is similar, in that he struggles to beat a man.

Some games suit Alioski, tonight didn’t.

The hard bit is, until the game has been played for 20 mins, you don’t know whether it’s a game that suits.

The side has lacked pace for years and still does

Is Usain Bolt still looking to join a team?

posted on 21/8/18

I would suggest pace has been the mainstay of our earlier performances this season.......

posted on 21/8/18

No steve

We’ve played the ball quickly, that different to having pace.

Two completely different things

posted on 21/8/18

You need pace to get on to the ball. Roofe showed pace against Rotherham did he not or was I watching another game?

posted on 21/8/18

No you saw him run past a really big slow defender

You think Roofe got pace ???

Really

posted on 21/8/18

I'll agree to disagree. He wasn't slouching. Credit where credit's due methinks.

Unless you get Usain, from time to time other players are going to be faster.

I prefer the player with control that is slower, some have mention RS, than the speedy player without (Sacko?).

posted on 21/8/18

I prefer the player who can do both

And sacko wasn’t even that quick to be honest

Just think we lack that pacey player at times, who scares defenders and Creates space for other player a

Roofe is quick but certainly would not consider him pacy Will beat the odd defender now and again.

Of course, both is more better, but how many are there like that in this division?

Roofe has pace over short distances which is fine in a striker. I think Harrison has it in him but Alioski is too slow and never seems to attack the byline. Shackleton showed them both how to do that.

We don’t need 100m sprinters just players who can do it over 10/15 yds. Also the first yard is in the head anyway - as Bamford proved last night.
