Eventually everyone slows down, yes, but you're saying Wilder is already on the decline - how do you plan to actually prove this, instead of just saying he's over 30?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is 32, 33 in a few weeks and 34 next year
Do you think Wilder is different from other human beings?

Bermane Stiverne
Chris Arreola
Malik Scott

All ranked in the top ten at sometime

As sports science progresses, there are many more athletes who are extending their impressive physical attributes deep into their 30s and sometimes even into their 40s. Wilder has the added advantages of not having to torture his body ballooning up and cutting weight, and has been in very few 'wars'.

Now, where is your actual proof that he is already declining?

Hugo don't get drawn into arguing with that idiot he literally is a moron just google D4's username ffs he's known worldwide as the biggest plank in boxing

Not when the athlete is heavily reliable on these physical abilities.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope, the decline will happen around 32. Joshua got a few more years to go, hence him ducking Wilder now

And Joshua isn't as reliant on his physical abilities as Wilder.

No, Arjen Robben is still ridiculously quick, and recorded the fastest sprinting speed at the 2014 world cup despite being past that magical 30 year cutoff point

posted on 23/9/18

also, Boxing rankings are a farce anyway... if you all about the rankings D4, care to tell us how Fury becomes 3rd ranked for WBC?
if i'm right, an organisation he has never fought for...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, the rankings are a farce. Boxrec have objective rankings, Ring magazine is meant to be independent.

The belt organizations just play boxing politics, don't take them too seriously.

I haven't done, not for many a year now

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It all makes sense, you get physically faster when past that definitive physical decline age of 32, oh wait

At 2014 he was 30.
Any decline would have been negligible then
Your decline is not falling off a cliff.

And yet he still blows away people for pace at 34, and Wilder shows no signs of being in physical decline at 32.

So what do we surmise from this?

Joshua is far more technical, learned the boxing fundamentals, has a higher boxing IQ, and his biggest physical asset is his power, which is the last thing to go.

Stuff like stamina was never his strong point

But is a lot slower than he was in his 20s.
Shall we check Robben's goal returns in the last 8 years?

I wonder if we will see a decline?

It sounds as though you are saying Joshua is a better fighter than Wilder

Well according to the statistics, he was faster in his 30s than in his 20s.

And sure, check his goalscoring record - his peak came at 30/31 and he was close to bettering it at 32/33. Now and 34 going on for 35, he has 2 in 3, so has a good chance of having his best season to date.

But all of this is irrelevant when we consider that you still haven't bothered to back up your claim that Wilder is already declining. Make a claim, provide the proof - that's how it works.

Joshua is a better boxer, good fundamentals, still holes in his defense though and he knows if Wilder connects he is going down.

Hopkins was a better boxer than Roy Jones, but when they fought in their prime, the amazing athletic ability of Roy, meant that Hopkins could not cope.

His peak came in the 2013/14 season, when he was 29/30 Exactly where I said it should be
Thanks for proving my point.
