You had some poor teams winning before the great Milan side took over during this ban.
Liverpool destroyed English football in the mid 80s. Fergie was brought in to save English football and he did. Gone are the dark days of old football. United and Fergie invented modern football in 1992, from that point Liverpool became irrelevant.

In 1985 the cup final was being played in an unsafe stadium. Italian fans were bombarding Liverpool fans with broken rubble, coins and lighters. When Liverpool fans charged at them the wall fell down and a tragic situation unfolded. My old man was there and saw it all.
On to the article. I think we would of won a couple more European cups as we were amazing in that era.
Everton were also good and English teams looked the strongest in Europe
