Yes but those 3 defeats have rocked the confidence a tad and I'm not convinced yet that we will be in top form any time soon.

Like MK says, its the performances that have been the issue that most fans are 'upset' about

I was reasonably happy with Saturday though. We weren't at our best by any means but saw glimpses.

we have probably played well for a total of 90 minutes from matches so far this season.

but have 4 wins from 6 in the league. and 3 narrow defeats in all comps playing complete crap in the 2 league games (didnt watch the CL game).

The thing is, the performances weren't great this time last year either.

I much prefer having more points despite indifferent performances.

We know the performances will get better and we know that Kane will start banging them in on a regular basis too.

coulda, woulda, shoulda been 3/4-0 to us in the end. yes we showed glimpse's, but are not clinical when it matters and every time the opponent breaks forward they look as though they could score. Midfield and full backs are not recovering enough for us.

Haven't seen highlights but Kane should've had a hattrick? I thought his all round play was really good on Sat, the best he's played all season for me. Looked much sharper.

easily. his finishing was strange though missed at least two you see him bury on a regular basis for us.

Yeah it's weird how one ball can easily split our defence recently. Do wonder how much that has to do with Hugo not playing and him off his line sweeping much quicker than Vorm or Gazza.

it's not really a keeper thing i would say, there is usually just a 2 CBs back. Full backs caught out of position and no tracking back. Dier really needs to just sit in between the 2 CBs, the further forward he is the more exposed we are going to be.

the slow build up play too allows for everyone to just prepare to break us and more of our team go forward in frustration at breaking a team down.

the Lamela goal was lovely and reminded me of spurs from recent seasons. we need more of that and less of the lethargic amateurish dross that we have seen for the last few weeks.

we still look poor at the back though

with this in mind its criminal that none of the full backs, nor poch, nor any of the CBs, nor the captain, nor anyone else on the pitch or on the coaching staff, seem to have the nouse to tell the fullbacks to stop flying forward at the same facking time every time we have the ball, because as soon as we lose it we are opened up by one good ball down the side of the centre backs.

barca will have an absolute field day if we show them as little respect as we showed Liverpool and to a certain degree inter.

both fullbacks cannot fly forward when we have the ball... we are not good enough on the ball and we too often give the ball away under no or limited pressure

It was a one off game, Spurs were very poor, but no big deal every team has off days. Liverpool were very poor last year at Wembley.

Spurs should have won both the Watford and Inter Milan game, where they had a couple of silly 5 and 10 minute spells in both games and threw both games away.

Spurs have definitely played better than just 90 minutes over seven games this season.

Spurs have been nowhere as bad as a lot of our supporters have said they are. Win the next two or three and it will all look pretty rosy.

Yeh I will give you the defence worries me. That is more down to Poch rotating it every game. Never going to get any consistency unless he beds down a back four and sticks with it.
