Must go - Donkey Mourinho

A manager with an appreciation for attacking football would be more effective than getting rid of half the squad.

Following players are out of contract in the summer (with no 1 year extension clauses) : Mata, Herrera, Shaw, Smalling, Jones, Young (6)

Following players are out of contract but we DO have 1 year extension: DDG, Martial, Valencia, Darmian, Periera

I don't think my tally will be far off in the end. There's going to be major changes next summer.

Groot, Young, Jones, Darmian, Rojo, Mata, Sanchez and Matic all need to be moved on.

It goes without saying that Jose should, as well.

So most reds are agreeing with around 8/9 and yet the Bertie Magoo's said mine was unrealistic at 11 even though I said Sanchez was the only one who could be saved with a new Manager which would make it 10.

It's as if they don't like me

The squad is in terrible shape and the contract situation is quite alarming too. Jose should obviously go. He's failed.

I just had a look at the contract situation, just under half the squad have contracts running out at the end of the season. Many need to move on but still alarming as you say.

It's a mess for the next manager to come into.

United even if they buy and sell well are 2 seasons behind Liverpool and City imo.

People would say the same about Chelsea, who look competitive. I think they'll beat most outside of the Top 6.

Europa will hinder them though.

It's amazing what a managerial change can do.

I find it hard to judge what players are worth keeping when they're playing in the current system.

So many of them would look so much better under a different manager.

hmmm I reckon if chelsea click we are not far off. Gotta give sarri a free year then see.
Got much better players than utd, atleast while pogba and co are not suiting this system.
hazard, kante, azpilicueta, pedro, willian, kovacic looks a real player as does rudiger.

Would argue utd have better squad players though.

The only ones that are genuine United quality are:

Smalling
Jones
Magic
Fred
Pogba
Lukaku

Mata, Valencia and Young were, but can go on the basis of age.

United will go nowhere, absolutely nowhere, with the likes of Herrera and Lingard - and they should be first out the door.

If martial and rashford spend some time in the reserves and learn how to develop some kind of team and/or footballing intelligence then they may earn a bench position.
