I think we need to get a defensive coach in!
TBF though I still won't be convinced that that was a free kick for their 2nd goal.
That said we didn't defend it well.
Thought use were excellent today
Cheers , we were definitely the better team in the second half. A bit unlucky not to get a point today but we're getting there.
Can't wait to see what we're like with Rudi, Hudson-Odoi, Reece James (absolute beast this guy), Emerson and Loftus-Cheek all in the same side.
Don’t want to get on his back and don’t think we played worse than others but when I watch Willian it’s like I’m watching a seperate game. Just doesn’t seem to have bought into Lampard ethos at all
The old guard has to be phased out...quickly
Far from feel down tonight as I usually do whenever we lose, I feel remarkably optimistic for the future.
We faced one of the two best teams in the country today and whilst the 1st half seemed like the world and the fates were conspiring against us, the 2nd half showed what were working towards and had Liverpool on the back foot for most of the half
I feel the same way Brummie . We've had a really tough start in terms of fixtures, loads of injuries and a bit of bad luck in games as well. Just feel like we might have now just passed that very difficult start and are going to move into a better phase now. Very much looking forward to Hudson-Odoi and Reece James coming in for Willian and Azpi.
I think the Liverpool game came a month to early for us Superb, another few weeks for our injuries to come back and for the team to bond a little more might have made a difference.
Agreed Brum, our next five fixtures over the next month look much kinder and we'll be able to introduce Hudson-Odoi and RJ in those fixtures as well as bring back Rudi of course.
Well i take this from the game...
a team that loses two defenders in the first half, sees a scoreline go from 1-1 to 2-0 down within minutes agst a top side and then shows the fight and guts that they did 2nd half to try and win the game deserves praise.
what a lesson today for Tammy...playing agst i think one of the best CBi have evr seen play the game
Mount, playing with an injury and giving it all
Azpi actually had agood game today too by the way
I am disappointed in Jorginho in recent weeks with his offensive passing...it is not that hard to hit a chip from deep
and Willian was poor today, his passing is just not good enough
but overall plenty to be optimistic about in two seasons from noiw
Azpi actually had agood game today too by the way

Yeah, he didn't do too badly, I think Liverpool were spoiled for choice with who to target out of him and Alonso and it confused them!
Just seen the Vanilla penalty appeal were Sokratis clearly handles the ball with what looked deliberate intent, yet VAR doesn't even look at it as far as I'm aware, yet we have a goal disallowed because Mounts foot was deemed offside.
You have to wonder what VAR was introduced for if not for incidents like that.
I think it's a good system but totally misused - it's becoming farcical!
How did our boys perform then Superb?
From what I could tell with my awful stream they did very well Brum

Superb, all it takes is patience and I mean 2 or 3 years of fans and the club just being patient and we could have an amazing team every bit as good as what Fergie produced all those years ago
Yup be interesting to see the line up today. I'm off to the bridge now. Might meet summer 69 for a swift one after the game as i left the ground in a strop following last weeks result lol
Biggish/superb hope you're all good boys
