Because United were in control of the game for the majority of the game

No they weren't, you were dreadful in the first half and created nothing, and even an improved second half performances had us creating just as many clear chances

But Man Utd were in control of the game.

How exactly can a team 1-0 down while creating absolutely nothing yet be in control of the game

You get more dense by the hour!!!

Mourinho's 'masterclass' seemed to be attack Hazard. So much so, he misses a few games...

Yep mate, the thug young did a job on him!

Not strictly true. First half they were poor, and in the second half they were in control of their own game, they knew how they could exploit our weaknesses and they did, but that's not the same as controlling the game. We owned the midfield for 90 mins and got into their final third on more occasions than they got into ours, we were in control of our own destiny in that game, United were reacting to us dropping the ball.

If they did you would have no problem explaining why in detail or offering links to back up your argument like we have, but you haven't so you are sticking your fingers in your ears and saying "whatever"

There was no threat to man united in the second land of that game. They were fully in control at that stage.

So Luiz having a free header six yards out, Kante testing DDG and Barkley scoring was no threat, more Erik logic

Obviously not literally no threat, but very little threat

Outside of the goals what chances did United create?

There was no threat from United either. They managed to successfully penetrate our weaknesses on the left side once during the game and they scored from it. For the rest of the half they conceded control of the game to us in an effort to protect their goal, and failed (very important).

I know what you're trying to say but it's flawed logic. Take the Chelsea/Barca tie in 2010 at SB, very similar scenario, we were in control in the sense of successfully putting our gameplan in motion and almost succeed, but we were in no way in control of that particular game.

That’s a good example adbrocat. In the same way Chelsea deserved to beat Barcelona, Man Utd deserved to beat Chelsea. It was a late sucker punch both times as well
