The difference in quality

The gap is not being caused by the squad, just the managers, Pep still has it, jose doesnt. The only discipline where City are way better than the rest of the Top 6 is midfield where the likes of Silva, Debruyn & Fernandinho are way better than their peers.

In terms of defence, attack City are just like other Top 6 teams.

The difference is Guardiola

It really is too big for what we've spent. City deserved winners today. Better all over the pitch.

We can't replace quality like they can. No KDB is not really an issue at all for them. No Pogba for us, despite his inconsistent ways, is a huge issue.

Other than David Silva, I wouldn't say there was a gulf in class player wise, they play with more freedom and confidence, a lot more confidence, but that is down to coaching

Guardiola is a large part of it, but they still have a way better squad than ours.

Their squad and manager is much better than ours.

There is a difference in class player wise too but yeah our players don't look like they know what they're doing.

Largely due to guarduola to be fair. He hasn't made a bad signing.

The Only difference I see is between two mangers : a genius of modern football and an imposter with no vision at all. Between one whose players have all improved under his management and one whose players have all become worse under his tyranny.

The best options we have if we want our midfield to play similar style to city's is

Pogba-- periera-- Fred

NOT Herrera-- matic-- fellaini

Atleast the first 3 can move the ball around nicely, f*ckin disgusting midfield we played today, we are Manchester United ffs, I've defended Jose last few weeks and this isn't reactionary but poor choices for midfield, defence is poor which Jose did tell Woodward.

if you cant see that across the 2 squads that City have better players in every part of the pitch except in goal then there is no hope for you

Nonsense.

Player wise they are on a different level to your bunch of cloggers

They have a better manager and far stronger squad. I’m not trying to make excuses because this is clearly down to poor planning at every level at our club. Most of us want Jose, Ed and the Glazers gone, these 3 things are needed to help us improve for the future, but sadly don’t look like happening any time soon.

We made 3 individual mistakes (Shaw, De Gea & Matic) and got punished.

Overall I thought we managed them well. We just had nothing upfront especially with such a weak midfield not able top transition in to attack. That was the difference.

Matic was awful, and the less said about herrera the better.

Guardiola is the main differnce.

Thought you were going to nick a draw when we gave away the penalty, great third goal though.

I don't really get what Mourinho was thinking with the tactics, I get the nullification for large swathes of it but his changes played right into us. You missed Pogba today (although have to say, I do think it's pretty damning that that's your midfield trio when he's out).

Danilo

That said, Pep’s not that influential with players signings I don’t think. They have a director of football for that.

We were the better side. Once again the cheating ref won it for City

They do it together. It helps that they're so aligned on the football side though.

Aren’t Soriano and Bergistran the main guys with regard to recruitment, melts?

Best team won. The result was the one I expected.

With no Pogba and a tough away trip to Turin I didn't give us a prayer today. Looked like the comeback was on but City too good for us today.
