United absolutely atrocious as an attacking ‘threat’. Hard to believe that midfield cost about £100m yet they all struggled to pass the ball forward

if you cant see that across the 2 squads that City have better players in every part of the pitch except in goal then there is no hope for you

Who bought Lukaku, Matic, Fred, Sanchez, et al. Jose has not spent wisely.

Aren’t Soriano and Bergistran the main guys with regard to recruitment, melts?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

They do the negotiating and ultimately choose. Guardiola works very closely with them though (more than Pellegrini did) and there's a couple of players that he's said were completely his choice (Stones was one, think Sane was the other but would need to double check)

It does boggle the mind.

But then at least we're not Spurs who don't have a stadium, a trophy cabinet or a winners mentality. We've had more days in the sun in the 90's and 00's than you'll have in 200 years.

Utter embarrassment out there today. Men against boys. Some people think Lindelof is improving my word. As for Luke Shaw, he is abysmal and so is Young.

Yeah but on the plus side your beloved Liverpool got knocked off top spot

I wouldn't say it was an embarrassment at all. Comfortably beaten but we weren't playing a poor team. Other than the keeper and possibly Martial there's not a single player they'd want of ours.

Didn't get embarrassed at all but City just too good for us as they are for everyone else too.

Just have to laugh at that stat!

Spot on Juan. It really does hurt to see how far they are ahead.

If you do not think that was an emabrassing performance then this sport is not for you. They were not at their best and we struggled to string more than 3 passes. We managed to play in their box like in the 80th minute. Embarrassing how uncomfortable our players are with the ball.

We caved in to the left wing media's pressure of insisting we play attractive football. Fuiuck them let's sign even taller players and just effing launch it. Would have won us the match today but we would have offended some liberals so what eff them I've had enough let's get back to good old fashioned brittish launching and fuiuuck this forren tippy tappy snowflake nonce sense

They have a better manager and far stronger squad. I’m not trying to make excuses because this is clearly down to poor planning at every level at our club. Most of us want Jose, Ed and the Glazers gone, these 3 things are needed to help us improve for the future, but sadly don’t look like happening any time soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This, we had a plan to bring in players to suit a playing style, United for a club of its size has had no football thinking or strategy in terms of squad building or ethos.

That’s down to upper management and owners.

Nothing you don’t already know.

Not mocking but martial or de Gea wouldn’t get in our team.

I think the worrying thing for u lot, we weren’t our best today. But United had no appetite for the second ball. And the amount of times you were sacked around the halfway line...

Tbh a 3-1 loss at the Etihad isn’t a bad result. They are ridiculously good. Most teams will get 4 or 5 put past them without reply this season

I think you are right. Martial definitely under Pep can get in- I believe he is more talented than Sterling and definitely a better finisher. If Sterling can become calmer in the box, deadly player

posted on 11/11/18

Actually reckon one player Pep would like from our squad due to his pressing, ability to follow tactical instruction and understanding of space. He’s like a poor man’s Pedro in that respect. Pep likes those type of players, even if they aren’t the most individually skilled or glamorous.

Herrera was atrocious at keeping the ball.

Gave it away about 7 times, pretty cheaply too.

Don’t think Martial is a Pep player personally. Highly talented but not one who I feel will do what Pep requires.

Ederson more suited to your style for sure but no way is he better than Dave. He's not even the Brazil number 1 ffs.

However saying our goalkeeper is the only better player than the Man City equivalent says it all. We've spent so poorly but we knew that anyway.

All I can say is thank heavens David Silva & Aguero are the wrong side of 30 now.
