Drogba is my personal no1 striker in the PL era
Big game, big player
Chelsea's best ever number 9?
A beast of a man, Franks friend, what’s not to like.
Enjoy the easier life.

Only realistic competitor to that claim is Peter Osgood, but I did not see enough of Osgood so have to say Drogba is our best ever striker
Era’s where so much different you can’t really compare, ball, boots, pitch, conditioning, impossible to comprehend in the modern era.
Be proud you had both......and Frank

Hard to say and I wouldn't try Biggish. But for those that never saw him, I doubt you'll see many more elegant, graceful center forwards who could mix it up as well.
Also don't forget Bobby Tamblings 202 goals for us or Greavsie's 124 goals in 157 games
It was just a privilege to see them both in a Chelsea shirt!

Kane has a long way to go to be compared to a player like Drogba. One has not even reached the peak of his career and the other has retired. No point in even comparing the two.

Be careful or you'll be banished from JA606 for daring to talk so sensibly!
Drogba scored CL, FA cup and league winning goals. Harry Kane has never won a trophy. He is level on goals with Glen Murray this season who is a 46 year old plasterer. Here is a list of each players achievements.
Drogba: Everything
Kane: Nothing

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's 27th in the list of all-time PL Goalscorers
He was a fantastic player for Chelsea and enjoyed great success but I don't really see how anyone can make a case for No. 1 Striker in the PL era
Even without the success that Drogba enjoyed, Shearer is the only contender surely.
He definitely shouldn't be ahead of Rooney, Henry, Cole or Aguero.
Drogba wouldn't even be in my top 5, possibly not even top 10.

I do agree with you on Shearer, but Drogba would be in my top 3 because his all round game was just sensational, he scared and deflated opposing CBs, he inspired his team mates and he won games for us even when he wasn't scoring goals in matches.

There is simply no other striker in Premier League history who had the big game influence of Drogba.

Thought his overall game was average, great poacher in his prime ( a la Lineker), great finisher of chances you would expect to be finished, but not a player for me who would win you a game without scoring in the match.

Complete and utter nonsense
Out of the 6 players I mentioned Drogba has scored the least goals and has the worst goals to appearance ratio.
Henry and Aguero alone average just shy of 0.7 goals per game.
Drogba's average was a little over 0.4 per game.
That statistic alone shows that those 2 players were/are 75% more likely to score than Drogba was.
In addition, Drogba is 5th out of 6 in assists so to try and argue he is more influential is complete folly.
