Klopp

It's difficult to say as the key differentiator is clearly Rooney. Once Rooney left, we won nothing. So in a Rooneyless world they are equal. But anyone +Rooney = success.

Mourinho.

One can also easily say easily Klopp.

if Klopp resigned today Liverpool fans will be gutted. If Mourinho resigned today, most Manchester United fans won't care one bit. You then have to ask yourself why?

Klopp.

The maon reason being he's improved on what he inherited.

Jose has won more trophies, something that can't be overlooked, but Liverpool are an outstanding team who could go toe to toe with most sides in Europe. United are just a mess.

thats true but a lot of people believe a better coach would get a lot more out of pogba, rashford martial etc

so is Jose leaving a much worse squad? we've all complained about it but he will point to his trophies and Klopps none.

Mourinho because two trophies are better than none and 2nd place is better than 4th

Klopp - Being CL final losers is a bigger achievement than being the Euro B cup winners.

being euro B winners is better than being Euro B losers....

depending on how you looked at it you could quite easily say Klopp would of been one of the worst liverpool managers in history

plenty of others have won trophies
a few have won the league, a couple got 2nd in the PL
noone has spent anywhere close to what he spent though.

would he be classed as "flattered to deceive"

Klopp has improved many of their players, improved on the positions in the league and has also played top class football in that process. They’re also the only team to be challenging City at the moment.

A comment that is sure to make Benji cry again

Mourinho has been more successful, by virtue of winning more trophies than Klopp. He also did it with inferior players to what Klopp has now.

challenging? this will be a procession just like last year when we were the challengers...

who has he improved? the goalies? Can was very highly rated till he met Klopp.

the pool fans have been slating TAA until he scored a freekick saying hes gone backwards recently. VVD was a WR buy, Keita and Fabinho were highly rated youngsters but neither have looked anywhere close to their previous levels, milner has always been the same, henderson still rubbish, salah was good from day 1 and everyone knew about Mane.

i can think of robertson

If klopp delivered in three seasons at United 8th, 4th and 4th as league positions on 0 trophies, he wouldn’t have gotten a 4th season at United. He probably wouldn’t have gotten a second season finishing 8th in the first place.

Lower standards are why Liverpool fans are happy and united fans are not. All there is to it.

Depends how you judge success really.

Jose took over a side that was fighting for 4th, won two lesser trophies (not knocking it, but United fans obviously want the bigger prizes), and would leave a United side who are at best still fighting for 4th with a rebuild likely required.

Klopp took over a side that was scrapping in 6th-8th, coming close yet ultimately failing to win trophies, but would leave a side in a title challenge with solid foundations, and brought regular CL back to Liverpool after going without for so long.

I guess I would probably say:
short term success = Jose
Long term success = Klopp

Mane was known to be massively inconsistent at Southampton and we were laughed at for spending big on Salah so that's at least 2.

Firmino, Coutinho, Lovren and Ox at a minimum are another 4.

Easily Mourinho, and I want Mourinho gone

He's won trophies and finished 2nd where as klopp is a hypocrite who criticised big money spending and then spent big but still hasn't won anything.

They look good this season, but they will likely finish behind City and end up in the Europa league. Kind of funny. A strong team but will end up falling short again in terms of major trophies.

They might win one of the lesser trophies but i'll laugh my ass off if Klopp fails in a final again.

Jose has been more successful but Klopp would leave behind a club in better shape than Jose. That said, I think a decent manager could get a lot more out of our squad.

Depends what the criteria for success is.

If it is for boring the clubs own fans to death then Jose wins hands down

Most successful, Jose.

There isn't a debate. Anyone who says differently is being stupid.

Now if you want to talk about who plays the better football and is much better at man management then Klopp will win.
