I heard a rumour on Sunday that the mighty glasgow celtic were heading over to the home of the champions to give them a good doing over...thoughts?

Just repeating what I heard and if it's true then it's a great bit of buisness by Rangers.

You could end up out of debt, with money in the the bank to spend and 15 points could be nothing.

It might happen it might not I stated that!

As if a lawyer would divulge that kind of information... I mean even a bent yin. In fact I don't know why I am commenting on this, ach just forget I said anything. .

Lafferty,Naismith & Jelavic..another great bit of buisness!

Agree?

Fine. You don't need to believe me but it's not as if I'm on here saying Rangers will go bust like most others.

I'm actually saying if this happens then it will be a fanatstic piece of business work by Rangers!

The points deducted would be from the start of next season... not the end of this one. Your 'lawyer' contact, if he existed, was, I fear, ripping the pishoot ye.

HoopingWonder, I think what all you Kerryfail accountants forget, is that if Rangers to into Administration, then the people brought in to run the club, do all they can to recoup the money owed.

So if Rangers go into administration, then they'd accept any reasonable, and probably a lot of unreasonable bids for all players. Guys like Jelavic, Davis, Naismith, McGregor, Lafferty etc....would all be sold immediately to raise cash to pay investors.

You CANNOT just go into administration, wipe the debt, then think everything is hunkydorie and come right back out of administration owing nothing with £20m in the bank, otherwise any company with debt would do it!!!

When's the last time the SPL was won by nover 15 points, in what way would it be a great piece of business. Are you friends with Phil the goblinrimmer?
....

Once the 50 mil is gone apparently Whyte will sell the club to a consotrium who are willing to invest money. I never said it was true and as for that phil guy I don't read his stories.

I've never commented on the Rangers tax issue before so I'm not at the wind up. It's clear to see everyone thinks I've had the mick taken out of me and maybe I have.

I'm only writing what I heard. If it's true than I can say told ye and if not no harm done, it's just words!

But lesson learned I'll not mention anything on the issue again!

HoopingWonder, as pointed out, if we go down the road of administration, we'd need to sell all our stars, or anyone at all who a bid was received for.

Its not going to happen!

I was just about to say the same thing.

What would stop a team like Dundee United or Hearts or whatever getting to a stage where they're not going to get relegated and then deciding "ahh fudge it, this debt is getting to be a bit of a pain. Let's take a 15 point deduction now we're safe"?

Don't you think there would be repercussions? For starters any lending agent, notably the banks, wouldn't go near a club that's been in administration.

What this also means is that the local economy gets a bad hit. When Dundee went into administration loads of firms who were due money either went bust or had to lay people off.

A ridiculous rumour that is clearly pash.

Hoopinwonder, sorry if your article was genuine but you have to remember that we have been getting wound up rotten about finances for the last 3 years. So please excuse us if we appear less than friendly

Yep, can't be bothered with an online argument, I was passing on what I heard and didn't want to get sucked into an argument as I'm not on the wind up.

Time will tell if I've been told pash or if I've been told the truth.

If it's false I'll hold my hands up and if it's true then I'll be on saying telt ye's all!!!!

1 point id make

spl rules say administration is a 10 point penelty not 15

posted on 20/9/11

And, it is effective within the same season, no?

Did Livi et al carry their admin over to the next, as one poster on this thread suggests?

posted on 20/9/11

Is the penalty for administration within the SPL not 10 points?

I know Dundee got a 25 pt penalty but that was for their second financial failing. Gretna got 10 points when they went in, it was the same season too.
