OK life imprisonment then the point I'm making is that Spurs do not carry the same fear factor that City do. They did however carry that fear factor last Saturday due to the manager picking the wrong team combined with complacency of the likes of Luiz.

They were better than us, team selection didn't matter
Team selection massively made a difference. Are you mad?
A quarter or third of the team being wrong is a massive hinderance. Even one player makes a difference. How someone can’t see that baffles me, unless they’ve never playe which I wouldn’t accuse you of

So if we'd played different players it wouldn't have made a difference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We were outplayed, he was never going to make changes on an unbeaten run
Changing your narrative a bit there.
What different players would you have played that would have made a difference

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pele, Bobby Moore, George Best, Messi
Giroud - north London derby experience
Barkley or rlc - British, know importance of fixture
Pedro for Willian because Willian is crap and pedro was great pre injury
And luiz with god even Cahill whose no great shakes himself, but atleast knows the importance of the fixture

Wouldn’t have made a difference though Brum lol
Alonso offers things you cannot measure as well but he kills the pace and balance of the team so badly
Why when we are being gifted a sublime Morata performance, are you guys banging on about Saturday?

A little flipant maybe
But to say different players wouldn't make a difference is a bit naive.
We will never know but if Ampadu had played in place of Luiz, Giroud in place of Morata, RLC in place of Kovacic, or CHO for Willian, then who knows what would have happened!
RLC is on a similar level to Barkley,
Yeah it was a one-off not a default position.
When we played West Ham in 86 we lost 4-0 at the Bridge on Easter Monday after losing 6-0 to QPR on the Saturday and we had to go to Upton Park 2 weeks later and people thought we'd get a serious hiding but we went there and won 2-1 which facked them for the title. Football doesn't work like that and Spurs have already lost 3 times this season so their not quite as good as you think they are despite the fact that they were far too good for us on Saturday.
If anything though bit more annoying CHO got such minimal minutes in other cup/Europa matches. Still one to watch though, will he continue to start these games if Moses is back from injury?

All very easy to say after the game but Spurs have been better than us by a big margin in the last two games we've played.
Ultimately, we're so reliant on Hazard going forward and if he has a quiet game it's usually a difficult game.
Exactly so if we played Pedro and giroud we wouldn’t be so reliable on him.
No point comparing to last year anyway completely different team
