Southampton sacked Mark Hughes this morning and are apparently making an approach to ex-Leipzig manager Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Liverpool at Molineux twice in a fortnight
We beat them last time we played them in the cup
Wolves’ Compton ground is now called the Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground sponsored by Fosun International
One way to get round FFP I suppose

Didn’t realise they were playing today. Is that a league match? They’ve found their level, obviously.

Yeah such a shame, I'm feckin heartbroken.
Interesting article on one of the Chelsea fanzine websites today saying that Chelsea will find the Wolves formation very familiar. The blues adopted 343 for a few years and were successful with it. Wing backs and wide forwards giving them an overload out wide that caught a lot of teams out. But then the opposition sussed that formation out by outnumbering them in the centre of the park and they were unable to control games. They have now changed to 433 with the three midfield players playing narrow. So they have less strength out wide but more control of the centre.
To me it’s all about what best suits the players you have. I think a 352 would help Wolves at the moment. The back three has worked well with Coady in the centre. I would like to see Neves, Moutinho and MGW in the centre and Jota playing up with Jiminez up front. Costa, Traore and Cavaleiro as our impact subs. But depending on who we bring in during January, it may be a different formation again that brings the best out of the players we have then.
Wolves game cup tie with Liverpool is set for 5th Jan but I suspect that will change as it will be a surprise if it isn’t chosen for tv coverage. Good money spinner for the club

Good point, it'll be interesting to see how you guys set up tomorrow and who plays instead of Neves.
Wouldn't be surprised if you adopt a 3-5-2 so you don't lose the midfield battle.
Nuno is adamant about sticking to the same formation so I expect we will play 343 with either Gibbs White or a defensive midfielder instead of Neves. The system has worked well for us over the last 18 months but concerns are emerging that stubbornly sticking to the same formation could be his Achilles heel as teams have stifled our play in recent games
Wolves have played Liverpool 7 times in cup games and have won on 5 of those occasions
If West Ham beat Cardiff tonight. which I think they will, we will drop another place in the table. Even if we manage a draw against Chelsea we will still stay 13th.
