Not sure how important European football is now for Alderweireld. Once you’ve helped your team draw a group match with Barca’s youth team, what else is there left to achieve?

Spurs fans are so funny.
Kane, Vertonghen, Rose, Alli and Eriksen will be thrilled I’m sure when they retire and are able to tell their kids/grandkids about the time they finished 2nd/3rd/4th in the Premier League.
What an outstanding legacy to boast about.

Have their careers finished now then?

As opposed to joining Arsenal and boasting about finishing 5th/6th?

Haven’t they won more in the last 5 years than you have in 30?

Alderweireld will go to a big club, and one that’s in the Champions League. Those two factors rule out the modern Arsenal I’m afraid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We can qualify for the CL this season. It’s a toss up between us or chelsea for 4th and you could almost argue that for the Europa, although they will be favorites for both ahead of us it can definitely happen
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea are better than you. Watched you against Southampton and Brighton, your defence is all over the place. You raised your game for us and won fair & square, but we’d had a week where we’d left it all on the pitch against Chelsea & Barcelona. Chelsea have better defenders, a better keeper, more squad depth and a genuine world class game changer in Hazard, they will finish above you.
Toby wouldn't be getting any medals for their past achievements if he joined them

Apart from Vertonghen all those players are in their early to mid 20’s, they have a long career ahead to win things.
Toby wouldn’t be winning major honours at Arsenal, they are a club on the slide - Emery isn’t good enough to get them challenging in the PL.
Toby has won La Liga, the Eredivisie and played in the CL final. Unless Arsenal offer him £400k a week he will have absolutely no interest in travelling to Eastern Europe on Thursdays

£250k and Thursdays off?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Possibly, I'm sure he is desperate to play alongside Mustafi
Every top club should be after him, Arsenal included. Maybe he wants to stay in London? Arsenal could qualify for the CL next season. Don’t rule it out.

Give over, they've no chance of top 4 with that defence, and there are atleast 4 teams better than them in the Ropey league.
There's a good chance that they could be 10 points behind Spurs by Saturday night, after being ahead of us on the 3rd of December.
Come to think of it I haven’t seen the Oracle Strikeforce on here since he ragequitted ja when he was proven wrong about how Spurs were bankers to sign both Zaha and Grealish so based on his predictions you never know #WelcomeToArsenalToby

No, but what it does show is that we have a knack for winning things. History would suggest he has a decent chance of winning silverware with us. The same cannot be said for the current Tottenham side.

Emery has won 3 European titles with Sevilla and won 7 trophies in 2 years with PSG.
The evidence would suggest that Toby would have a better opportunity of winning things under a multiple-trophy winning manager like Emery, rather than Pochettino, who has no track record of winning anything.

Who said he would? The point was that for all this supposed Spurs superiority over Arsenal in recent years, they’ve been more successful than you in recent years.
So if Spurs can go on and win trophies from here why can’t Arsenal?
