Plenty have said so. They are still gushing about it this morning. Bottom line is it was average and only worth the same as any other game, 3 points.

Struggling to get highlights, the three goals, one off the line, the Kompany tackle, and er what else actually happened in the game?

As my 7 year old lad is still on his xmas hols I let him stay up and watch it with me. I fell asleep and he got bored and watched Waffle the Wonder Dog on his tablet.

It was alot of fuss about not much in the end.

You seem surprised that the media and fans are talking about a football match between a team who was first in the league and the team who won the title last season.

Loved the BBC Sport headline for the pre-match build-up: "A game that staggers under the weight of its own significance"

Bang average match last night really.

Wolves ripping Spurs a new one in the last 20 minutes at Wembley was far more memorable in my opinion.

Could be the "best ever" Spurs bottle job of all time?

After the way you finished the Palace game you might want to think before you post?

Probably won`t win all four, but why not go for them, nothing to lose
——————-
Because if you play three more games in the Capital Cup, If you go deep in the FA Cup and the CL you will pick up so many injuries and be so tired you will end up with sixth and no Cups.

But Arsenal have already booked sixth and no Cups. So you have a problem.

The Man Utd game should be prioritised with rotation tomorrow and on Tuesday. If Poch goes all out in the three games you will know you are dealing with a manager who wants out.

Yeah, I did think. And I thought it wasn't really a Spurs bottle job.

anyone have a link to the Kompany yellow card tackle on Tom Daley. Been through many highlights vids and none show it !!. Maybe it wasn't worth showing.

It was an orange card.

Mike Deen, Moss and Oliver would have given red.
Atkinson and Marriner yellow.
Roger East would have booked Mo Divah.

Low footy IQ if you think it was a poor quality game last night. Cagey, suspenseful, a fantastic team goal from Liverpool and the winner from City. Game of fine margins, both teams to an extent played well.

I felt it was a red because both feet were off the floor and as soon as you do that then it's reckless in my opinion. Think he was only saved by winning the ball and the ref being reluctant to make such a big call so early in the game.

Eventually found one, clearly gets the ball first. Yellow about right, not a great deal of contact.
Ref must know Daley's reputation of going down like a one-legged arthritic giraffe.

which post match is still being called as the best game ever,
-----------------------

My brother whatsapped me after the game saying it was the best game he'd ever seen.

Hyperbolic beyond belief!

It was frenetic and no quarter was given which made it a good spectacle, but overall the quality was lacking. Sane (other than his goal) and Sterling were average, and Mane and Salah didn't link up other than the time Liverpool hit the post.

I real blood and guts game and entertaining in that respect, but not high on quality.

Built up by Sky as a title decider, what total nonsense,

This is generally what they do. Hype hype and overhype. Sky are 30% football 70% marketing.
