Agree with all that Brum. I said before that the gulf that we witnessed in the recent League game wasn't a true reflection of the gap between these 2 teams, tonight was more of a true indicator, but the difference for me is that Spurs have a proper Centre Forward who gives them a cutting edge that we don't currently have.

The second Leg is going to be interesting as both teams are still in the tie.

Beer Saturday 69?

Of course, standard. Have a meet with Nick and Loz?

I have Loz's ST.

Falcon, for a couple with Ben?

Unlucky brummie.

If your club gets rid off CHO then it’s time to shut down mate. He’s going to be exceptional. Huge huge talent
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a feeling it might be too late and out of our hands.

His agents are his family and I wouldn't mind betting it's them that see him as their golden goose and driving this.

It wouldn't be beyond the realms of reality that the parasites from Munchen have already promised them a sweetner to deliver him. They're notorious in Germany for keeping their opposition in place by buying all their best players - looks like they're spreading their net a bit wider now.

I think the only hope is to tell Munchen to fack off and do our best between now and May to convince him to stay!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Can’t say I don’t mind him going as a Tottenham & England fan mate

Such a shame though as he’s a talent. We so much talent in our England youth set ups and I’m happy they don’t mind going abroad to play.

Will be keeping my eyes on him to see how he develops

Luckily Spurs and United don’t let them go abroad, Hengy.

Tbf we don’t have many decent one atm imo although we have Edwards out on loan to some rubbish mid table Dutch team

It's going to be hugely disappointing if he does MK, I've been watching him for the last two years and have been really excited by him.

It'll be the biggest blow since Ossie left for the South coast all those years ago!

It’ll probably be a while before we see any making meaningful contributions with us, to be fair. Gomes, Greenwood and Garner look the pick of the bunch from the English lads, and they are training with the first team now, but they are still very young and probably too physically underdeveloped for the first team yet. Especially Angel Gomes, he’s about 5ft 3in.

Brummie, I am just back from Wembley, and Chelsea were far the better side, Hazard played very well, but I am well pleased with the 1-0 win, because I was expecting a draw tonight at best. I think Spurs are so much better away from Wembley, so the 1-0 may be enough. Should be a lively 2nd leg though.

Gomes is very talented but his size and strength might go against him in the prem.

Greenwood on the other hand I think give him 12 months and he will be ready for a squad place or maybe a loan to a Bournemouth type club.

I’m very excited to see all this English youth startting to come through

It’s annoying when you watch a player from young for it not to happen for whatever reason in your first team

I watched Onomah for about 3 years and he’s was a beast but it just hasn’t translated into man football yet.

Yeah that’s the worry, he’s so small and sleight. Hopefully it’s not too detrimental as it’d be a shame for England to have a player with his talents not being able to express them in the premier league. But hoping to see some of them in the first team this season as they are knocking on the door of making a few appearances (Gomes only played ten mins against Huddersfield).

Difficult blooding youth players when you need results today. Which so many of the big clubs have shown. Pep was talking earlier about getting them in a league to play against grown men. I liked the idea of b teams, but nothing ever came of it after the proposal a few years ago.

I need to get Duarte's ST back to him before the game, so obviously I need to factor that in.

Because Costa doesn’t know how to play in Atleti’s system.

Looking more and more like Costa’s on the slide. He hasn’t been in good form since the first half of Chelsea’s 16/17 season. Granted he didn’t play for half a season, but that’s a long time to be in poor form when you are his age, so I don’t think getting rid was a massive mistake. Replacing him with Morata was.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tell you what. Why don't you put words in my mouth. Where did i say he didn't understand Atletico's system?

Thought Hazard was kicked off field

We had 17 attempts to your 5, and deserved a goal

Unfortunately 'Deserved' wins you nothing in football CFC.

We're the architects of our own destruction here. We went into the season knowing both strikers were inadequate and loaning our only other goal poacher out. We've no one to blame but ourselves- Well the board anyway!!

You made the point about the system suiting him at Chelsea. Well it does at Atletico and he’s still bad. That’s relevant when discussing what level he’s at now.

No relevance. Different team. Same as Sanchez world class at Arsenal yet two bob under Jose.
Brummie thats what I've said earlier in this thread. It's about finding better than Morata and its been a year since he started stinking out the place. Poor summer by Marina and co

posted on 9/1/19

Of course it has relevance, it’s showing his form has dipped dramatically and that he is probably not the same player he was. As shown by the last half a season he was at Chelsea where he wasn’t very good. Sanchez was showing signs of decline at Arsenal the season we signed him as well.

Having a lot of shots for 25-30 yards that the keeper dealt with with some ease does not mean you deserved to win. It's not the amount of possession but what you do with it.

Yes, I posted the same thing earlier on today.

Our fault we have no striker.

Having said that we were well worth a draw yesterday, hitting the woodwork a couple of times.

No one would have complained if one of those had gone in and draw would have been a fair result
