Spurs are great but they will continue to tread water and not really kick on unless they invest at some level.
Isn`t like investing a billion in a brand new stadium sort of like investing at some level.
I never quite get the media nonsense that Levy does not invest he does. He just does not waste money. You don`t keep a team in the top three of the Premier League, for what is it coming up to four years now, if you haven`t invested at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The stadium should be, and will almost certainly, be funded as a separate entity.
If Spurs didnt learn from how detrimental it was to the Gooners for several seasons Id be amazed.
I dont doubt Levy is savy one bit but at the same time, in them 3-4 years of top 3, Spurs have generated an insane amount of revenue. Revenue derived from the fans.
I just dont think you climb Everest and stop a few feet from the summit and if the fans money isnt being used to push on, I think its reasonable to question why
Levy is reknown for being a nightmare at the negotiation table but this isnt Bargain Hunt Sandy lol
Sometimes there is no shame in having confidence in your scouting and coach and adding a few players to improve the squad, especially if the funds are clearly there.
Spurs arent a top half team anymore, they've kicked on, which shows in their recent purchases generally.
I just think they are still looking for bargains constantly when you do sometimes wonder whether Levys ego can be an obstacle.
Far as today I think pressure is all on Man U.
Spurs lose it doesnt derail them no where near as much as it does Man U. Man U have to win.

Man U are going to be in for a shock when they actually play a good team for the first time in a month. Easy 4-0 win for Spurs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or we could scrape a 0-1 win at Brighton with another dubious pen
Would be a great win for spurs to make daylight between themselves and arsenal and United, also narrow down to 6 points behind top . Exactly why I'm not expecting a win.
I just want to hear some more of Toby's jokes

Tbh I think win, lose or draw, you'll be safe from any real threat from United or Arsenal come the end of the season. A win would give you even more momentum but tbh I think it will be difficult to finish above Liverpool or City. I'd expect Spurs to finish a very comfortable 3rd place (which would be a great achievement).

Literally every pundit said clear pen. Stay mad.

And you had the chance to scrape a 0-1 win at Brighton but you got beat.
Rumours are (on twitter but from m.e.n) that lukaku is starting ahead of martial..
Countdown is progressing.

I would say that I'm pleased but he'll probably cause us problems. All the United attacking players seem to be doing well lately under Ole.

As I understand it Lukaku and Sanchez haven't yet got back in the groove in the way that players like Martial and Rashford have. I hope today isn't the day that happens.

Imagine that.
To be honest I am glad now Mourinho has gone we can expect something different in terms of how we play. I think likes of Carrick have more a role now and Phelan knows everything about Man Utd as does OGS. It's amazing it's the first big away game we might actually put in a complete performance since our 1-2 win at anfield. The main aim is to win though. The players need to redeem themselves and win majority of remaining games to salvage the season.
I expect sandy to have lots of excuses lined up after todays game.
