We've got our Arsenal back

No, we haven’t got our Arsenal back yet, but we have to be realistic, the size of the mess left behind by the chuckle brothers Wenger & Gazidis was so large that it was always going to take a long time to put right whoever came in.
We need to give Emery time, it is not his fault he inherited such a situation.

Xhaka played in every game this season even out of position when we had many injuries. Xhaka extended his contract under Emery.

Emery is/was a first teamer under Wenger and he will continue to be under Emery.

Xhaka did not extend his contract under Emery.

WHEN WILL YOUR THICK HEAD COMPUTE THIS??

So it was Emery's team that were 22 games unbeaten, right? We lost and Wenger left a mess. Simpleton.

He has.

Emery did not even have Xhaka training in squad before Xhaka extended the contract. How then did Emery offer Xhaka the contract?

Emery looked at Ramsey and decided he wasn't worth whatever they offered him. He never had the chance to assess Xhaka.

Stop talking shiete and get your facts right

Gaizidis said that the decision of making Emery to our new manager was that he knew everything about any player.

So you come up and telling me he didnt know about Xhaka or any other player, right?

Why is he playing him if he isnt convinced of him?

Get your facts right.

Say it again.....Xhaka isnt our main problem allthough he cost us some goals this season.

So how you do explain Ramsey being the most integral part of Emery's plan and then Ramsey being told he can leave, on a free?

Explain that one

"Xhaka isnt our main problem allthough he cost us some goals this season."

The player that cost us actual points with his mistake isn't an issue, but spending €65m on a striker who's know top scorer in the PL is??

That's why everyone laughs at you GT. You are arrogant, ignorant and clueless.

Been supporting Arsenal a long time now and, without any exaggeration, I can confidently say that Granit Xhaka is one of the worst starting XI midfielders we have had during that time.

He wouldn’t have got a game under Don Howe.

He is absolutely awful.

‘Say it again.....Xhaka isnt our main problem allthough he cost us some goals this season.’

And last season.

And the season before that.

So, lots of goals then.

Awful player that is way past the point now of being able to improve to the required level.

Yet Wenger rated him.

Ramsey isnt and wasnt integral to Emery's plans. I dont know why we withdrawn our offer to Ramsey and how Emery was involved in that decision. Financial aspects surely played a role in that.

I dont care what others thinking of my opinions.

I havent even said that Auba is a main problem. For 65 M EUR that he cost I expect more consistency and better overall play. He himself called him a tap in merchant. I expect him to be decisive when things not going our way. Not only him also Laca alltough I thought Laca was lively today at least the first half.

For what he cost I expect a striker to bail us out.

I don't understand GTs logic.

He'll tell us all the Xhaka is great and Emery trusts him so GT trusts him. Then he'll say what garbage Auba is and how we're effectively down to 10 men when he plays.

But I thought Emery trusts him GT??

Aubameyang is top PL scorer.

How, exactly, is that not consistent?

Top 4 is gone now.

If we’re to rely more heavily on the Academy, start blooding some of the youngsters now in the league, and concentrate on the Europa.

Tbh if it weren’t for the fact we’re financially facked thanks to Gazidis and Wenger, I would actually prefer us not to qualify for CL next season anyway.

I will ignore the ad hominem because some people cannot handle honest discourse.
If you were at the games and have any judgement at all you would know that the unbeaten run greatly flattered us, we were lucky on a number of occasions because our defence was weak.

The truth is Wenger & Gazidis in the latter stages were not up to it, overseeing incremental decline & yes, leaving us in a mess.

I havent said that Auba is garbage in the first place. I have said that for that price I expect a guy who is scoring goals out of nothing and bail us out.

Emery trusts Xhaka it's obvious. Auba hasnt played all games upfront. Laca also started some games. Both played a few together and yet it's not good enough to get a top 4 challenge with our defeat today dreams are all over even if we beat Chelsea next week.

Laca and Aubameyang are brought in under Wenger.

posted on 12/1/19

Xhaka cost us the three points. You would agree or will you argue that as well?

I don't know if Emery trusts Xhaka. I'd say Emery has little choice but to play Xhaka because he literally has no option.

We had enought time to turn things around ffs

Wenger signed Aubamayang.

Wenger signed Mkhitaryan.

Both were huge financial outlays, yet our priorities should have been elsewhere in the squad.

Yet none of this is Wenger’s fault?!

Erm... okay

So Ramsey isnt an option?

Fans need to move on from Wenger and their agendas Wenger critics said replacing him with literally anyone would improve us, then praise Emery when we're unbeaten now slate Wenger and the squad because we're losing.

And Godfather, the reason fans like you and I backed Wenger was to win the league or at least challenge, and he took us to 5th and 6th! Do you think Wenger was doing well and should still be manager? I don't get what it is you want or what point you're trying to make. Wenger declined and deserved to go but now people are seeing that there's a lot more things wrong with the club.

But for Xhaka there wouldn’t have been the need to ‘turn things around’

That's true. We declined under Wenger the last two seasons.

Have we progressed though in any aspect?
