Mkhi and Auba were Sven signings, that was taken out of Wenger's hands by then.

We had enought time to turn things around ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But for Xhaka there wouldn’t have been the need to ‘turn things around’
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is a member of this team and obviously I include him and not saying he was alright. He was subbed today for his mistake. Why was he in defense in the first place?

Fans need to move on from Wenger and their agendasWenger critics said replacing him with literally anyone would improve us, then praise Emery when we're unbeaten now slate Wenger and the squad because we're losing.

And Godfather, the reason fans like you and I backed Wenger was to win the league or at least challenge, and he took us to 5th and 6th! Do you think Wenger was doing well and should still be manager? I don't get what it is you want or what point you're trying to make. Wenger declined and deserved to go but now people are seeing that there's a lot more things wrong with the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's true. We declined under Wenger the last two seasons.

Have we progressed though in any aspect?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Only the last TWO?!

Ffs. You’re unbelievable

I only meant the last two because we are far away from the CL place trophies.

Xhaka cost us the three points. You would agree or will you argue that as well?

I don't know if Emery trusts Xhaka. I'd say Emery has little choice but to play Xhaka because he literally has no option.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's exactly it.

So Ramsey or Özil in in a different set up not a choice?

8bit we can't move on from Wenger. Look at the squad. Ozil and his contract. Ramsey and him leaving on a free. Mustafi, Xhaka, Monreal. This is the legacy left behind by Wenger and Gazidis.

Honestly if anyone genuinely thought that by replacing Wenger with a new manager would instantly solve our problems then they were completely ignorant on our fundamental flaws.

We simply so not have a squad of players able to compete for top 4. We don't have a single winger in the squad ffs. All the departure of Wenger has done is stop the rot. Whether that now develops into improving the squad is entirely dependant on when we can move away the dross and how well we can replace them.

Ramsey, Welbeck, Cech. These are big wage players moving on. Monreal was another but I hear we've extended his contract. Koscielny has another year to run. When we can get these dross off our wage bill we can then look to add for the future.

We're not going to improve our fortunes with Xhaka and Mustafi in the first team. These are mediocre error prone players that need replacing. Not Wenger, Emery nor Allegri can hope to improve the squad while these players remain.

Nobody was saying that last season though. Everyone was slating Wenger for us not challenging for the league and saying if we sacked him for someone else we would be. Liverpool were finishing 8th and turned it around with Klopp after a few years, if we run the club properly we can do the same.

Even when we had no money to spend people used to blame Wenger for that. Wenger was used as the reason for everything wrong with the club and now that excuse isn't there.

Who on earth thought we should be fighting for the title last season ffs??

They wanted Wenger gone because the club had clearly declined under him. They were right.

Ramsey particularly is 10 years at Arsenal to show his worth. We paid 12 M EUR for Cech. According to our fans he will save us 10-15 p a season. The truth is he cost us these points. People crying their hearts out about Ramsey leaving.

Its all said and done. We are in decline its obvious. Expect progress and improvement from Emery. Watching this team I really cant make out any progress neither a proper tactic.

Well that's clearly not true. We had loads to spend. We spent €60m on a striker 6 months after we spent €50m on Lacazette.

Our ridiculous wage bill that we need our a few years to sort out, Ramsey leaving on a free, our dropping out of CL and having no cash to spend now, all Wenger and/or Gazidis' fault.

We've been declining for years. 5 plus years at least. And you expect instant improvement after 6 months, with essentially the same defence and midfield and that we have NO wingers at all in the entire squad? Are you serious?

No I mean when we actually had no money to spend, and people blamed Wenger for the fact that we had no transfer budget or had to sell players. Wenger took the blame for literally everything even things he had nothing to do with, and now that person isn't there anymore especially in the new structure.

Actually, if I remembered correctly, Wenger got the flak because he decided to tell everyone we did have cash to spend and he'll only spend it if he came across "top top quality" before then buying Park Chu-Young and Gervinho.

I always thought the issue was Wengers tactics were poor and he couldn't coach train and motivate a squad that another manager could finish high in the league with

When did the narrative change to Wenger has bought a poor squad and no man on earth could win anything

Yes I expect improvement even after 6 months. The truth is we made excuses for Emery. During our 22 games unbeaten run I heard people saying we had improved when it was obviously not the case. We had more luck during that game. Now the obvious flaws come back and the old Wenger team is back allthough some Emery signings werent exactly brilliant.

The narrative didn't change Godfather. You're just back to being a stupid little child who's happy his dad has lost the job because he didn't get the present he wanted for Christmas.

Arsenal were in decline with Arsene Wenger and Ivan Gazidis in charge. This decline extended to beyond tactics and formations and right up to the core of the club. When you change the fundamental foundations these changes take time to channel their way back up.

If you seriously thought that there should be an instant reversal of fortune after years of decline then I'd suggest you grow up. But with you crowing on defeats after 6 months of the new regime shows there's little chance of that.

Yeah true Wenger brought in dross like Aubameyang and Lacacette. We spend over 100M on them alone. Özil is another Wenger buy who cost us another 52M EUR.

Absolute rubbish. You heard plenty if people say we are actually fudging our way to wins or draws and we didn't actually play very well.

You need to grow up tbh. Either you except change takes time and with the decline we were under that it might be a lot worse before it gets better, or just go off and support HSV.

Arsene Wenger, Ivan Gazidis, Olivier Giroud will never again return to the club. Never. Accept this or stop supporting the club.

I agree with the first bit Wenger used to build quality squads for much less money than our rivals. The irony is since we had money to spend most of the buys have been poor. then it's not just buying them but keep playing them over and over and even giving new contracts to some. His judgement in players wasn't the same anymore.

What a childish thing to say ffs

So just because people say Wenger bought some dross that means everyone of his buys were awful??

Grow up. Your sarcastic petulant comment are embarrassing. You simply cannot accept Wenger had flaws that led to the decline of the club then I suggest You come to terms with it.
