Nobb......

You need to stop watching football as you simply have no idea about it.

Nothing new tactically? We attacked them first half and could have had 3 goals today including Pogba's second half chances.

Nothing newlooked like a different United you plank. Yes we had to dig in a bit but they are a quality side in good form. Wasn't the best time to catch Spurs at all and we still won.

You probably don't like to see us with no Fellaini and Lukaku (from the start) though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How we approached today was absolutely nothing different to how we played when we went to Arsenal last season and won 3-1.

Played good counter attacking football but were lucky to come away with a win. Ole may well be the next great manager for us but today wasn’t some tactical masterclass. Just a hit and run win. And there’s nothing wrong with that just as there wasn’t when Jose did it. Just saying we didn’t learn too much about what Ole would bring to us on a FT basis

And I’ve never seen us create that many chances against Spurs away from home since Fergie retired. Even in the second half Pogba could’ve killed the game off with those two chances he had. Very pleased with our tactics and desire today.

Still, all said and done that's 5 on the bounce and a far more positive outlook for both the fans and players👍👏

Weren’t you calling the 3-1 a Mourinho masterclass?

Not at all. Just a classic counter attacking performance which today was as well.

In fairness re the second half... Spurs are a good side. Their movement off the ball and the way they get full backs so high up the pitch and in space is superb.

Yeah we dug in a bit, got a bit lucky at times... But we earned that

I am beginning to think Rashford is the real deal. Just impresses week in week out. Fair play to the guy, England actually have two world class strikers

Spurs were giving it there all. Under Mourinho Spurs barely played and beat us 0-3 at OT. Now that game we were wasteful like we were today but we were due the luck this season as we had plenty of games the opposition score with nearly every shot against us.

Absolute rubbish

It wasn't just hit and run... We specifically targeted their full backs and getting between them and their cbs

We were comical at times in that arsenal game... As good as it was to win

posted on 13/1/19

Nah that’s ballacks. You were hyping up Mourinho for a long time after that win.

posted on 13/1/19

Yeah that Arsenal win was a proper De Gea masterclass. He saved near certain goals that game vs easy shots for a keeper of De Gea class today.

Because Jose is the ultimate counter attacking manager and we went there and did what he does.

If you read this article it’s not even a critique of Ole. Just more that I don’t feel we learnt that much about him today. On another day it could have been a defeat.

Ole is responsible for making our players go beyond their normal limitations and give that extra 10%. The tactics may not have been on display as much as the spirit, which Jose did manage to suck right out of us. This is not to be dismissed.

And I agree hence the Op

I’ve stated his man management skills make him more suited for these players than what we’ve had.

Robb Lloris actually made the harder saves today.

Arsenal had 11 shots on target more than us in our 1-3 win but today Spurs had 3 shots on target more than us in our 0-1 win. The Arsenal game De Gea had really hard saves to make as well.

He's had 4 weeks in the job. Poch has had nearly 4 years with that Spurs side. What the heck are you expecting in that time?

You really are a clueless prat if you're not just attention seeking again.

Ole has done a great job so far. Give the man some credit.

What happened in the previous visits against spurs under Mourinho??

Whether you like it or not, Ole has got his players wanting to run through walls to wear the shirt. Jose never had that.

We won in our last game there.

And again, I agree about Ole inspiring them - hence the OP

I’m not really sure what’s contentious in the op tbh, I agree with it. Solskjaers showing he’s an attacking coach who the players have bought into, which is what everyone thought before the game too, and if he keeps getting results like that, then he will deserve the job.

Likewise, Pochettino showed he can make tactical tweaks to make his team react in game and create enough chances to show it wasn’t really down to him that they lost.

We lost our last 3 league away games to them. Spurs were shocking in the cup game to be fair. Could barely create anything except long range shots.

I’d love Ole to stay if he keeps this up and shows what he’s gonna bring to us over the next few years. Or else there’s the danger he’s the next DiMatteo.

If we can get Poch then we should go all out. But if Ole gets top 4 and we finish the season on a high it would take a cold heart to deny him a chance FT. I think that’s fair and I’m trying to be as balanced as possible.
