You need to tell Ozil's agent, as well as the player, that he isn't in the manager's plan. Then it will be up to him to stay or get sold. That if is Emery isn't sacked first.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why isn't Ozil playing? He is your best creative player and would be better putting in performances than rotting on the bench. You may have to do as we did with Rooney and give him away as it is.
Ozil is going no where no club except Arsenal would pay him even half of what he is making at Arsenal. He will ride his contract out.
Complete speculation but I wonder if we don't have to pay the full wage if he doesn't travel with the squad?
Freezing him out might work but it's a dangerous game. Ideally he'd perform well enough to get some suitors and then be bought. His wages as you've said just aren't acceptable, we could have 3-4 decent players on those and we need that rather than one guy who on his day is fantastic but whose good days come less and less frequently
Ozil high wage is due to him getting a signing on fee as his contract was running out. This is part of his 350k a week. Only way Arsenal can get rid is by paying him 10m like United did with Rooney and then he can pick his next club.
Whether he wants him out or not, not playing him in games like West Ham away is absolutely ridiculous. Sticking with a poverty Mf of Guendouzi and Xhaka and in the process dropping more points falls on Emery.
We should play Ozil from the start in every PL game.
If its not working out then take him off.We need the creativity. Could have done with him v West Ham.
Problem is he is not even starting Ramsey and Mkhi is injured so we have nothing in Mf to give us goals or assists.
Even Bellerin has been injured who has probably been more creative than our crap Mf
It's short term thinking vs long term thinking. If Ozil has a bit part role no chances he leaves. If he's completely shunned he has to contend with being a complete mercenary or enjoying his football somewhere on a still massive wage.
Ozil is a glorious player but the game is changing unfortunately. Power and fitness are required more than ever.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's still risky as there's every chance Ozil would rather collect 100K+ more per week at Arsenal with no match pressure than playing week in week out somewhere else for 200k (or less)
He's 30, he's won the world cup and la liga. Unless a potential CL winner comes in for him I'm not sure how much motivation he'll have.
I agree the club needs to move him on but they've really facked themselves with this contract shambles
Ozil will only go if we someone gives him higher wages and we take a hit on the transfer fee. I would do it at this point. But will Raul Sanllehi.
If he does leave he’ll need replacing. We’ve got no creativity in the team without him. Could do with moving on Mhkitaryan in the summer as well. He’s on huge wage without contributing enough to justify it. Just hopefully any money we get is invested into players emery believes can fit his style properly
we the freezing Ozil out & possibly selling him affect our sponsorship deal with Adidas next season??
Only clubs in China would pay his wages, can't see any European teams keen. I dont envisage him returning to Germany to play also.

Agree. I'm not totally on board with it cos I think he might stay anyway and try to outlast Emery.
I'd rather be watching him play on the pitch but I'm a purist.
Ozil has big issues but not at least selecting him in the squad is a ridiculous decision from Emery. We have no creativity in the side. We have no width, No Mkhitaryan and Xhaka is about as effective as a chocolate teapot so does Emery expect Auba and Laca to just conjure up chances from thin air?
We need Ozil in the side. Firstly we cannot get rid. He is on massive wages and not a chance a club will come in for him. They weren't interested when he was available on a free, why would they pay him £350k+ in wages now?
Ozil was a bad signing and a huge waste of the club's resources. His contribution to the club has been nowhere near his cost to the club. Time to ship him out.

I don't think he was a bad signing at all, we just really facked up both his and Sanchez's contracts
On a normal contract he's a decent player with resale value should a manager not fancy him
Ozil is too easily isolated in away games.
The issue is midfield. That needs to be fixed. Our lack of creativity is in the 3 in midfield. Xhaka/Gwen/Torriera lack creativity.

Apart from a few matches Ozil has never impressed me. In fact, Ramsey offers more to the team than Ozil. In big games Ozil completely disappears when we need him most. Get rid.

Xhaka is/was an infinitely worse signing then Ozil. The guy is truly dreadful, Wenger's worst singing IMO (factoring in price, wages, ability, crucial position)

He is a decent ball-player generally. But have you have watched him when we lose possession and we have to defend? His defensive game is awful. When we are under attack we are virtually down to 10 men. In many games he just couldn't be bothered and goes on a walkabout. I'm not surprised even Emery wants to get rid of him.
