When did Burke leave Rangers? He was decent anaw was he not?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Must be around 10 years ago. For me he was typical inconsistent winger. Great on his day pash when it wasn't.
Millerπ often the case with wingers to be fair, we had it with McGeady, when they're on, it's superb, when they're not, it's an empty Jersey.

I disagree, he was only inconsistant after his injuries. He was one of my favourite players before that. He was better than McKay and was on the same level as Kent is now or maybe even better. I thought he was that good. Injuries flucked him though and when he came back he just couldn't dribble the same and was inconsistent. He broke through in the team under Advocaat and that was a difficult team to break into.
Castle I disagree. I don't ever remember him being a player that was on it game after game.
Castle, I do remember a game at CP when he tore us a new one, we drew I think but was impressed with him but as said most wingers can be hot or cold, I've always liked put and put wingers, this "inside forward" thing can negate yer CF imoπ
Kilmarnock should’ve been down to 9 men according to Sutton.
Wouldn’t disagree.
All about opinions Miller, I'm sure someone has done a youtube of his Rangers highlights. He was out for about 2 seasons, if I remember rightly with 2 separate knee injuries.
Also I may be misremembering but I was sure it was mcleish that gave him his chance
I think Advocaat gave him his first start and MCLeish used him more afterwards. The reason I say this is he was on the show 'Blue Heaven', the Rangers documentary on tv showing the behind the scenes of the youth academy and it should his first team debut on that as a kid and it showed a few of his games and Advocaat was in charge then and Jan Wouters was in charge of the youth academy. Always rember his Dad being a Celtic fan on it also. But he said I'm a Chris Burke fan, as he watched him at Ibrox.
Burke will surely have made enough cash down South to be comfortable now though? I'm watching Stoke, WBA and like Joe Allan and Jay Rodridgez but know they are on too much cash for up here?
Burke was one of those players who struggled with the pressure at Ibrox. Fine in a horsing of a diddy team but never really cut it in tough games.
Defoe really had very little to work with
Talking of the Blue Heaven show, I'll always remember the kid who was let go for being too small. Yet he was the best player we had at that time. Huge mistake imo. It said later in the show he was working as a trolley collector at a local supermarket. Total waste of talent.
Spr, Defoe won't create much himself he's a poacher supreme so needs service as you say, I do wonder if he's lost a baws hair pace or spring? Not seen enough of him tae be fair though π

Wee mate here was let go by Rangers for being too small....he would die for the blue shirt, but did stop growing.
Life ehπ
Yeah, Defoe is an old school poacher, not sure playing him upfront on his own works. As he's more a Boyd or Linekar type of player. I always think you should play this type of player in a flat 4-4-2. The guy just needs chances. Him with Lafferty up front could work.
Tb ab, Mrs P moans about my lack of "growth" ππ

It's not the same guy I was talking about is it?
If the kid was Spanish they would have kept him on.
Spr, oh fck aye, Gie him a chance in the box and the game seems tae slow down for him, thought he was mint at Spurs, hope he's not the same player now though? π
That Power guy looks concussed as fluck. He needs hospital.
We're going to push on for the win, Killie will hit us on the break and take it. Can see it coming.
