It’ll be a good challenge after all the drama of the Hawthorns the other night. Not won there since LMG brace one evening in 2010. They looked pretty impressive beating Naaarrgh the other night. I’d take a draw.

It’s a lovely ground to visit is Deepdale. Decent away end with steep stands that afford a decent view. Craving pub at the top of the hill with a big car park. Hope the travelling Reds have a good un, especially the Forza Garibaldi lot on their second official trip.

Probably our most difficult away game other than Sheffield United.

Emulating Derby's draw at Preston would be fantastic. As Bear says, they are flying in the form table.

Whilst not a fan of the MON / Keane appointment they have cobbled together a defence that should be able to keep Preston quiet. Offensively we're not at the same level as under AK, but in the hunt for the play-offs I'm sure that will come.

Hopefully Watson is dropped, although I can't see it. However, if I could choose the team? I'd see us lining up like this:

Pantilimon
Janko Benaloune Milosevic Robinson
Colback Yates
Cash Carvalho Lolley
Grabban

I don't see this as a must win. At the start of our season I talked about our run in and how easy it looked on paper compared to earlier in the season. Whereas under AK we underperformed against the lower league placed teams, I feel we will have more grit with the new set-up.

So....I'm going for a 1-1 against Preston (13th). Followed by a win against Derby (7th), a draw against Stoke (17th) and wins against Hull (11th), Villa (10th) and Ipswich (24th).

That puts us on 60 points with 8 games to go. Would be fantastic for the next six games to give us that platform.

Or fall off the stage as per would be funnier.

With Forest taking 10 points from 21 this year and Derby 9 from 18, then I'd say we're both likely to falter.

Enjoy the FA Cup game Igor. Hopefully you get the replay 🤗 Those fixtures are sure piling up. The price of success I guess!

I'd expect this to be an easier game than Tuesday night. WBA have a lot of knowhow in their team and they are more physical than PNE, also they cheat.

I said any points from the two games would be a bonus so not too worried if we come back empty handed today.

But optimisim is returning and really looking forward to the 25th.

Think there will be a couple of changes today as MON continues to have a look at all his players. A rest for Watson and a surprise appearance for Bridcutt?

Darren Moore losing a bit of respect from me for trying to defend cheating.

Have you dropped a rock on your head?

Or is your fixture congestion giving you a head ache?

I think I'm just going to let everybody laugh at you.

No manager should hang his player out to dry in public. Should always be sorted out behind closed doors. Moore seems a decent bloke. Been a positive influence for the Baggies.

Agree with last two sentences of yours Will; but no manager should defend cheating.

I'd prefer the Wenger Way: "I didn't see the incident; I've not seen the replay yet". Still not being honest but he doesn't defend cheating. All teams cheat - the authorities need to clamp down on it but don't have the bottle. I suppose the genie's out of the bottle anyway and there is no way of getting it back in.

Think MON will go with a flexible 4-1-4-1 again today.

Hopefully Yates will start again. And so glad he didn't go out on loan although at the time I thought that would be his best option. But with RK on the coaching staff and playing alongside Watson and Colback he is in a marvellous learning environment.

No Matty Cash today, has an Achilles strain. Does that mean Carvalho gets to start?

Just waiting for Igor to say who he would like in the next round of the FA Cup, it all appears to be going well so far, 2-0 down at half time then come storming back in the 2nd half, at least I assume that is the plan😂

Yates will have the prefect mentor in Keane who was the master of that position that Yates is trying to learn. I’m really grateful he didn’t get sent out on loan. It his shirt to lose now. I did question whether he could play back to back games before the WBA game and ended up with egg on my face!

They look well beaten already from what I have just watched. If the play like that in the El Cloughico I would say that Forest have a great chance of three points.

More likely to be Goncalves out wide, though I think we would all love the excitement of seeing Appiah get a go?
