Don, Spurs have just beaten one of the best teams in Europe in Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate over two games, so suggest there is absolutely not much wrong with the squad, but there is seriously something wrong with a manager that cannot get the best out of them. Just like with Mourinho at United.

But he just got them to the QF of the CL by beating one of the best teams in Europe 4-0 on aggregate?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet he cannot pick a team to beat Watford, Wolves, Burnley, Southampton etc. The reason he has got the team to the QFinals is because in general he has picked the strongest side, then he tries to be clever, and changes it all around again like today. His nonsensical rotation is what makes him such a poor manager.

Winning managers, and there plenty of those about. Problem is most Spurs fans are happy to have a manager who is not a winner. What is happening now is not new, it has been happening for the whole of Pochs time at the club, when push comes to shove he cannot and never will get the team over the line.

Watford and Wolves aren’t bad sides. We’ve had some poor defeats sure. Your attitude seems to be when we win it’s in spite of him, when we lose it’s all his fault. You’re ridiculous - to describe him as ‘such a poor manager’ shows just how little you actually know.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well Mournho wasn't a poor manager, neither was Wenger, neither was Raneiri, neither were all the Chelsea managers, but they still all went. Not sure why Poch should be any different, when he hasn't won a bean. At least all those managers won trophies.
I just don't get the love in for a manager who is never going to win anything at Spurs.

I said it to you before don you know I don’t wum.
While the Spurs model is admirable it won’t take you to the next level
Look at us we spent a few quid and addressed our deficiencies and it’s given us a shot at the title.
That could have been spurs

Irish, you really don’t need to remind me of that mate. I said all summer we needed to invest to stand any chance of having a good season. I have used the Liverpool example to on many occasions. You have spent wisely last summer and have a great shot of potentially winning the title. That’s what proper solid investment does.

Exactly and that exact position is now proven to be a problem now with Winks picking up silly injuries, Wanyama playing like a Sunday league player and Dier playing like his name.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don, Spurs have just beaten one of the best teams in Europe in Dortmund 4-0 on aggregate over two games, so suggest there is absolutely not much wrong with the squad, but there is seriously something wrong with a manager that cannot get the best out of them. Just like with Mourinho at United.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But he just got them to the QF of the CL by beating one of the best teams in Europe 4-0 on aggregate?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yet he cannot pick a team to beat Watford, Wolves, Burnley, Southampton etc. The reason he has got the team to the QFinals is because in general he has picked the strongest side, then he tries to be clever, and changes it all around again like today. His nonsensical rotation is what makes him such a poor manager.

Sandy , there is something wrong with the squad mate it’s not good enough. Manunited have a fantastic squad and proven it by getting maintaining form with all their injuries. They get an injury to Martial/ Lingard, they can bring in a 70 million pound Lukaku as back up. Spurs just don’t have that mate. I’m not saying spurs should spend 70 mil on a back up, but it was pretty evident the squad needed freshening up and the spurs board/ Levy have failed mate. They have failed to back the manager properly. They have failed to equip the team with the required tools to combat whet was always going to be a gruelling long season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Man United were rubbish with Mourinho in charge, just like Spurs are now. Difference is they could see it was all falling apart and got rid of the manager. Spurs will just carry on as nothing has happened.

In fairness sandy United can afford to pay astronomical money and can get it wrong and it won’t affect the balance sheet
Spurs can’t

Spurs may not be able to pay really top dollar, but most players still earn a really good living playing for Spurs, they are hardly playing for peanuts.
