Think it will be done on the international break. Wasn’t held in any football matches throughout Europe that I am aware of

Why should there be?

Mass murder by a rightwing extremist is rarely regarded as terrorism in the west.

It’s terrorism but rarely happens and usually a lone gunman, not plotted and planned by big terrorist cells.

Celebrated by their supporters none the less.

I personally don't think we should have a minutes silence unless football is affected. In this case, you could argue there should be as a Futsal player was killed. Atta Elayyan, 33, was the goalkeeper of New Zealand’s national men’s futsal team. There was also a 14 year old lad who aspired to be a footballer killed as well.

I remember there were outcry here when there were muslim terror attacks in France and other western countries. They held a minute silence and the premier clubs wore black bands after the November Paris attacks and other attacks.

At the end of the day I can understand the white western people in this. They identify them self more with their own people, culture and don't care when muslim people die. This would be the same in muslim countries if this would be the other way around.

There will be always evil and good people and this has nothing to do with religion, race or political views.

Was the attacker intending on creating a culture of fear?

Probably not, strikes me more as mass murder frankly. Not sure why everything is deemed 'terrorism' just because it's racially motivated.

He was, Allison. Its why he chose that particular place.

Also, it was both racially and politically motivated.

It's interesting how many people weren't outraged about this until they read a news article late yesterday.

They may have thought there will be one and then read there isn't. I'm sure that's how people would find out and then be outraged.

I'd have thought if people cared that much they'd have noticed when they watched the football.

If they hadn't even thought about it until they read an article then that suggests perhaps it's not as big an issue to them as they're making out.

Maybe they did, Winston, and then the FA came out and said there wouldn't be one. Who knows. I don't.

Well we do know - if they didn't comment on it until after the news article came out then clearly they weren't that bothered at the time.

Seems to be people seeking to be offended and not a lot else.

Maybe they did, then the FA said there wouldn't. Or some expected something to happen later on. Hence the reaction to the article. You're assuming based on your own opinion on this and trying to pass it off as fact, Winston.

Doesn't necessarily make it terrorism. I think we just to use that term far too often, hugely diluting what it means.

I wasnt really expecting a minutes silence despite what happened. What happened in France is down the road to us. There are mass murders happening on a daily basis it seems.

Oh give it a rest.

If they really cared they would have said something at the time.

It's ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

Really? I think from the reaction they they do really care. Just because you don't, don't project it onto others.

Oh yes, they really care.

After they were reminded to care, of course.

I'm glad you finally agree. Just because you personally don't care about it doesn't mean others do.

I don't agree - I was being sarcastic.

I'm sure some people do care about whether there was a minutes silence - but a lot of the people claiming to be outraged that there wasn't don't, they're just seeking to be offended. No question.

If you really care about that you'd ask the question at the time, wouldn't you?

I'd think maybe there be other things on my mind, such as 50 dead people.

And I know you were being sarcastic.
