A lot of good sport on today. Just seen the black Hawkins missed for a possible 147 - really was a sitter
Carter pulls it back to 5-3. Please no mention of the Arsenal game
Strange match Ding v Trump. Some how from 5-1 down Ding pulls it back to 5-5, but he's playing as poorly as I have ever seen. Trump looks in better nick but then makes a careless mistake at a crucial moment. Both players needing 2 or 3 chances to win frames.
It's as if both players know that a win would make them favourite in the bottom half of the draw and the enormity of it all is getting to them both
6-6 now worrying signs for Judd. Ding made a good 81 break to level things at the interval.
Neither player still looks entirely comfortable. It feels more like Trump is the one who could burst away, but Ding is just hanging in there, almost Selby-like
Ding edges 7-6 ahead. He's almost dragged Trump down to his level now. Both players struggling to put decent break together or make the most of any chances.
trump played poorly in his 1st rnd match
the form he's shown during the season seems to evaporated in the worlds (just like ronnie and allen)
I think Judd and Ding in particular both struggle when the draw opens up. They both did last year too
Have they completely solved kicks? I haven't noticed one all tournament yet.
Ding leads 9-7. Judd was awful today. Had a horrible feeling that 7th frame last night could be the turning point. He'll need to improve tommorow to have any chance.
Both players were really poor today. I'm not sure how Ding has managed to get a 9-7 lead. Credit to him for hanging in there, especially after being 5-1 down and looking totally out of it. Routing for Ding, but whoever loses will be disappointed at the way they have played. Who would have thought that this would be the poorest standard match of the 2nd round
Kyren 2 frames behind now, 4-6
Seems a bit weird Shaun Murphy commentating, Eurosport also had Mike Holt commentating few days ago.
Ali Carter wins a frame needing 2 snookers to tie and then it's a respotted black, Zhou unluckily going in off trying to play a safety on the black and loses the frame.
Yet no place for Willie? 4 very nicely poised last 16 games there, for me, Carter, Ding, Higgins & Hawkins to win out today.
All remaining games pretty close.

Sometimes I think I'm the only one that likes Ali Carter
He got to the final here twice, beat many good players over the years.
After years of disappointment won 3-4 ranking events, even got to World Number 2.
Is he a future World Champ? I don't think so, but I think he's a decent player and deserves a bit of success.
Murphy is ok, he's a bit of a creep, really, brown nosing everyone trying to be liked ! .
Murphy seems like a nice down to earth guy though to be fair he is also an exciting player. Just a shame he has been badly out of form in the past year.
Carter 12-9 up, he's won all 5 frames this afternoon, looks like he has done the job unless Zhou can somehow find a way to win 4 frames in a row!
Carter wins 13-9 Meanwhile Kyren Wilson has turned things around to lead 12-11!
