Higgins v Judd for me.... Judd to win

I'd love a Gilbert v Wilson final... 😂

Ah come on, surely every snooker fan wants a Gilbert vs. Wilson final. Year of the underdog.

Unfortunately it will be the other 2.

Most Snooker fans should all be routing for Judd Trump I'd be very worried playing John Higgins in the final though just because Judd has had some heartbreaking defeats against him before. Need to focus on the semi final first though. Gary Wilson will be a tough game.

higgins's match play ability gets him through to yet another world semi...even though he doesnt show the form through the season these days...the longer matches at the world really suit him

would be such a $hit final tho, trump would win easy if he played gilbert

to be fair Trump will win easy whoever he plays but still ,rather higgins least it's half a game as opposed to a walkover

I wouldn't be so sure, Robertson was looking very good until he came up against Higgins. Higgins could stop Trump in his tracks too.

Trump's just too good, only player capable of reeling of about 5-6 frames in the blink of an eye and he's getting better each game, hasn't even peaked yet

I'm not sure we've had a final where 2 real underdogs have made it through, but there is a first time for everything. Obviously if Trump maintains his focus, he will be tough to beat. Perhaps Higgins will made it 3rd time lucky in a row if he makes the final.

It has to be said that both Gilbert and Wilson have made it there on merit, so just a case of whether they can maintain that level.

yeh it's the world championship it's always on merit, no such thing as a lucky winner in the world championship, if you win that many frames, in that many matches, you fkin deserve it regardless

I agree that you can't just be lucky to win the world championships, given the number of frames, but sometimes a kind draw can help you along the way, or opponents can play particularly badly against you. However, in both Wilson and Gilbert's cases, they've had tough draws and shown very good form, which makes me feel they'll be ready for the semis, whatever is thrown at them, even allowing for the first time nerves.

It could be the case that they have just hit a purple patch of form at the right time, it could be that this is a sign of sustained improvement, we won't know that until next season. I've been particularly impressed by Gilbert and think he has a good chance against Higgins,

Unlucky for Gilbert. More than holding his own in this match though.

Only watched the last 2 frames so had no idea Gilbert nearly made a maximun. Good start from him leading 5-3

3-3 Judd cannot seem to win frames in 1 visit or get a 2 frame lead!
