Must win.
Confident we can bounce back
Really really really really need to win this - but unfortunately I have that feeling of dread about this - they handed us our first loss of the year☹️
We need Brum to do us a favour as much as we need to win. Sheff Utd have Millwall at home on Saturday which I can't see them losing, so we are under pressure tomorrow night and Hernandez is apparently out. we always have to do it the hard way, and we will have to yet again if we are to prevail. I think we'll know if we are top 2 candidates or playoffs tomorrow night, as Sheff Utd don't have many tough games left, they still have Ipswich at home.
Unfortunately I agree Shaun, sheffu have millwall forest and Ipswich at home which I expect 9 points.
They are strong favourites for 2nd
Maybe pressure will get to them ?
Where is Salim Lamrani, Bielsa's usual translator ? Has he left his post ?
You can virtually guarantee that Birmingham will roll over against Sheff U after trying their hardest against us🤔

Could say the same about Preston though. Its live on sky sports action (407) btw guys.
Forshaw, Berardi and Brown started for the u23's tonight. Clarke has come on at halftime.
Berardi and Forshaw only played the first 45, Shackleton also on for the second half.
Millwall doesn't look an easy game atm. Pushed us all the way, and did a job on WBA too.
Hope we can dig out a win tomorrow night as that will put the pressure on Shef U. If not that will boost the blades to a probable win and a moral boosting 3 - 4 point gap on us and at this stage more than likely to see them beat us to 2nd spot.
As weird as this may sound I would rather we deal with the disappointment and realisation that autos are not going to happen in the next 2 games and have time to try and mentally recover for the playoffs
rather than dealing with that devastation on the last game of the season.
I know playoffs are not our friend but if the players have a couple of weeks to get their heads around it I'm sure Bielsa can inspire them to rediscover their early season form for just 3 games.

See Ellando, if we would have recruited properly in January, we would have had a better translator and we would have been promoted by now!!
How many times has this team bounced back? How many times have we defied the odds? How often do we need to remind ourselves that there is just one point in it? And thanks Lubo for your comments about Milwall - they will be no pushover for Sheffield United. Let's worry about the play-offs if they are a dead-set certainty, but for now we are in a race for second place and, I repeat, there is just one point in it. A week ago we were celebrating. Who knows what next week will bring? Let's get behind the team and stop dragging each other down. MOT.
It’s just talk, it’s not dragging down. Sheffu could lose every game.
Talk is cheap, means absolutely nothing.

Spot on.
This club has performed wonders this season.
Reversal of Saturdays fixtures for us and Sheff U makes today/tomorrow very interesting.
Fingers crossed for a bounceback for us!

No come on, you were doing well up to that comment ....
We’d have done well whatever the outcome until May the 5th with this bunch. Bielsa has performed miracles...
However,,,,,,,
Regardless of that outcome Radz and team had an absolute stinker in January... no tying the James deal earlier was and is inexcusable. Not signing another defender was also criminal. If we go up it’s because of the Bielsa-effect x10.... if we don’t many fans will rightly question the owners intention in January.

We were after 1 player all month. Could/ should have sorted it much earlier or had a contingency in place. Ridiculous way to do business.

Probably degrees of truth in both statements.
Given our league position, January really should have been better. Whether it was MB only wanting specific players, or whether it was AR not having the cheque book for it, I suspect we'll never know. I just hope we don't rue not going for it in the weeks ahead.
